Into the woods we go! From hitting the trails to checking out the cool creatures at the nature center, we had an amazing time exploring Cedars of Lebanon today. There’s nothing like a troop adventure to get us out into the wild!

Word search, memory activities, flag study, and currency analyzation. We do it all at Trail Life! Bring your son and watch him thrive around young men his age.

The memories last a lifetime!

Work hard, play hard! Our Lebanon Troop has an incredible group of young men all focused on ways to become Godly leaders, providers, and problem solvers. Share this with your friends, we’d love more young men to join our chapter.

We meet at the Journey Church in Lebanon TN twice a month.

What a night! Our Troop focused on Godly values. These boys learned how to create business cards, work together as a team to move objects, play games as a team, and solve problems.

Our troop is blessed to have several grandfather's who bring their grandsons be raised with outdoor adventure and a love for Christ. We're thankful for these grandfather's who support these boys.

Scientists tracking families have discovered something beautiful: grandparents provide a kind of support for children’s wellbeing that feels truly unique 👴👵💛

A major study from the University of Oxford found that grandparents play an important role in children’s emotional and behavioral development. Their involvement is linked to better wellbeing, stronger problem-solving skills, and more stability when families go through tough times like loss, conflict, or change. When life gets hard, grandparents often become a steady source of comfort, routine, and understanding.

What makes this relationship so special? Grandparents offer love and guidance without the daily pressures of parenting. They pass down stories, traditions, and history that help children understand where they come from. Many studies show that grandmothers often provide nurturing support, while grandfathers tend to share activities and mentorship. Together, they offer patience, wisdom, presence, and perspective — a combination that’s hard to replicate.

There’s also a powerful mental health connection. Research shows that close emotional relationships with grandparents are linked to lower depression risk for both generations. Kids who have involved grandparents often feel more secure, more supported, and more grounded through the ups and downs of growing up. And grandparents benefit too, experiencing higher life satisfaction, purpose, and emotional wellbeing.

Of course, not every family has active grandparent involvement, and children can thrive in many different family structures. Other caring adults can provide similar support. But when grandparents are present and engaged, research shows they can buffer stress, strengthen resilience, and add an extra layer of emotional safety in a child’s life.

So to every grandparent reading this: your presence matters more than you know. Your stories give your grandchildren roots. Your patience teaches them grace. Your steadiness helps them feel safe. You are a living link to their history and a source of love and wisdom they will carry with them forever 💛

Trail Life isn’t always about the woods; sometimes the adventure brings us right into the heart of town! We had a blast representing our Troop at the Lebanon Christmas Parade today.

There is something special about seeing these young men step up, serve, and smile. Truly what it means to Walk Worthy. Thank you to the leaders and parents who made this happen!

Our Trail Life troop had the honor of marching in the Veterans Day Parade in Lebanon today. It was a powerful reminder of the sacrifice and service that protect our freedoms.

We are grateful for our veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. Thank you for your courage, dedication, and example—our boys were proud to walk in your honor.

Special thanks to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency for joining our Trail Life meeting to share about wildlife conservation.

We appreciate Barry Cross in Public Relations for taking the time to come out and speak with our troop—it was a great opportunity for the boys to learn more about protecting and appreciating the outdoors.
