Have you ever felt like the "not enough" girl?

Not spiritual enough.
Not confident enough.
Not qualified enough.
Not brave enough.
Not the woman God could really use.

Friend... you're in good company.

This Bible study isn't about the women who had it all together. It's about the women God chose anyway.

We walk through the stories of Rahab, Sarah, Esther, Deborah, Mary Magdalene, and the Woman at the Well—women who wrestled with fear, shame, waiting, labels, doubt, and messy circumstances. Women who discovered that God's calling was never based on having a perfect past or a polished life.

NOT Girls of the Bible isn't just another Bible study. It's an invitation to trade the labels you've carried for the identity God has spoken over you all along.

This morning I'm working on the teaching for NOT Girls of the Bible Study.. and this week we're talking about Esther. Y'all... she was SUCH a NOT Girl. 😄

I mean, we laugh at the idea of Esther texting Mordecai... but if we're honest, many of us have had conversations with God that sound surprisingly similar.

"You want me to do WHAT?" 😳

Esther wasn't fearless. She knew exactly what it could cost her to walk into the king's presence. She was scared... and she went anyway.

If God is calling you to have the conversation, launch the dream, send the text, forgive the person, write the letter, lead the Bible study, or simply take the next step...

Do it scared. Esther did.

I love the way The Message translates Hebrews 3:1. Instead of saying, “Fix your thoughts on Jesus,” it says, “Take a good, hard look at Jesus.”

I can almost picture Him smiling as He says it.

“Before you answer another email... take a good, hard look at Me.”

“Before you spiral over tomorrow... take a good, hard look at Me.”

“Before you decide you’re not enough... take a good, hard look at Me.”

Because the more time we spend looking at Jesus, the more clearly we begin to see everything else.

Our circumstances may not change. Our perspective does.

Confession time... 🙋‍♀️

I was convinced a new water bottle would help me drink more water.

You know the one... the perfect color, the trendy handle, the promise that *this* bottle would somehow transform me into one of those women who has her life together.

Spoiler alert: The water tasted exactly the same. 😆

But it made me wonder... How often am I really buying *hope*?

Maybe what we're really thirsty for isn't another thing. Maybe it's Jesus.

✨ NOT Girl Summer is going LIVE!✨

The Not Girls of the Bible study is officially launching, and I would love for you to join us as we dive into the stories of incredible women from Scripture who remind us who we are NOT called to be — and who God created us to become.

Starting Thursday, July 16, we will meet on Zoom each week at 12 PM ET or 7 PM ET as we walk through each chapter of the study together.

We’ll begin with Rahab on July 13 and spend time discussing, learning, and growing deeper in our NOT Girl selves through the lives, faith, struggles, and victories of these amazing women.

This is a space to:
✨ Open God’s Word
✨ Have honest conversations
✨ Grow in faith
✨ Let go of the things that keep us from becoming who God created us to be
