Seek Direction Before Promotion

Scripture: “What do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?" — Mark 8:36

The world teaches us to chase opportunities, promotions, and bigger paychecks. God teaches us to seek His direction first. There is a difference between success and significance. Many people spend years climbing ladders only to discover they were leaning against the wrong wall.

More money is not always better. More responsibility is not always healthier. An open door is not always God's door. God sees what we cannot see. He knows where every decision leads and what every opportunity costs. That's why wise people pray before they pursue. Success isn't success if it costs your marriage, your family, your peace, or your relationship with God.

Before making your next big decision, ask God what story He wants you to write with your life.

Challenge Questions:

Am I making decisions based on God's direction or personal ambition?

What am I pursuing that may be costing me something important?

Have I invited God into my future plans?

Prayer: "Lord, give me wisdom to seek Your direction above my own desires. Help me value what You value and pursue what matters most. Protect me from chasing temporary success at the expense of eternal things. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Crossroads Family,

Please keep Julio Berrones and his family in your prayers today. Julio’s father passed away this morning.

We know many of you love Julio, and this is a difficult time for the family. We ask that you pray for God’s comfort, peace, and strength to surround them in the days ahead.

As arrangements are made and additional information becomes available, we will be sure to share those details with you.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

Please join us in lifting the Berrones family up in prayer. ❤️

More Than a Paycheck

Scripture: “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” — Proverbs 16:3

Most people spend a huge portion of their lives working. We spend years preparing for work, decades doing work, and often carry work home with us.

Yet many people separate their faith from their work. Sunday belongs to God. Monday belongs to the office. But God never intended for your faith to stay inside a church building. Your work matters to God because your work is part of your calling.

Whether you’re leading a company, raising children, driving a truck, teaching students, managing people, serving customers, or working behind the scenes, God sees it all.

The question is not whether your work matters. The question is whether you’ve surrendered it to Him.

Before asking God to bless your work, ask Him to lead your work. When your work becomes an act of worship, even ordinary tasks take on eternal significance.

Challenge Questions:

Have I truly committed my work to God?

Do I see my job as a calling or merely a paycheck?

How would my attitude change if I viewed my work as worship?

Prayer: “Father, thank You for the opportunities You’ve given me. Help me see my work through Your eyes. Teach me to honor You not only on Sundays but every day of the week. Let my work become an act of worship that reflects Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Tomorrow we’re talking about something that affects every single one of us.

Work…Not just jobs. Not just careers. Not just paychecks.

The thing that consumes our calendars, fills our schedules, creates stress, provides opportunities, and often leaves us wondering if what we’re doing really matters.

What if there was a better way to approach work than simply surviving until Friday?

What if purpose, peace, integrity, influence, and faith all belong in the same conversation?

Join us tomorrow for Clocked In.

Because life is too short to spend most of it doing something without knowing why.
