DISCIPLESHIP CLASS 📖
We are now reformatting the discipleship program to make it more flexible and accessible. Instead of offering one year-long class, we will offer a series of shorter classes covering a variety of topics. Material from Pastor Thom’s original class will be incorporated into these courses, while new classes and additional content will allow us to address a much wider range of subjects.
Wednesday Nights for the Whole Family
Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 and will follow the Adventure Club calendar. Our goal is to make Wednesday night a time when the whole family can come to church together: youth can attend youth group, children can participate in Adventure Club, and parents and other adults can choose a discipleship class.
Our First Two Classes:
Every Believer Confident | Keith Zimmerman - Starting September 9 and running 10 weeks with 3 additional weeks of bonus content
Do you want to share your faith, but feel unprepared when someone asks a hard question? Or do you know what you believe, but struggle to explain it clearly and confidently?
Based on Mark Farnham’s Every Believer Confident, this class will teach a practical approach to apologetics and evangelism for ordinary Christians. You’ll learn how to understand what others believe, ask good questions, uncover the assumptions behind objections, and explain why the Christian worldview makes sense of life and the world around us. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to move conversations toward Jesus and the gospel with confidence, gentleness, and respect.
Calling And Character | Pastor Duane & Pastor Thom - September 30 through the end of the year
Has God called you, but you’re not yet sure what He’s calling you to? Or are you confident He has something significant for you, but unsure how to prepare for it?
In this class, based on the first months of Pastor Thom's original discipleship class, you’ll learn foundational practices for discerning God’s call and faithfully responding to it. We’ll explore prayer, Bible reading, spiritual disciplines, and the leadership lessons God often develops in seasons of wilderness and preparation.
Come prepared to be challenged. Come prepared to be changed. Come prepared to become the man or woman God has called you to be.
