Huge thank you to The Smith’s for hosting our youth for our first off campus youth gathering. We had a great time. We had some good food, Holly planned out a great scavenger hunt based off the fruits of the spirit, and Matthew did a great job doing the message tonight. We truly enjoyed it!

This week we will be traveling from the church to have our service at a host house. We are looking forward to this time and encourage all of our youth to come and be a part of it and invite someone to come with you. We will be leaving the church at 6:45 to head out. Come join us this Wednesday night at 7 as we continue our study in the Book of Proverbs. This week we will be in chapter 1 so take some time and study this chapter and see how we can tie it into the game of Uno. And what better way to do that than to play some uno. Invite someone to come with you. We can’t wait to see you this week as we come together to eat, encourage each other, and worship our Lord together.

Thank you to everyone that came out this evening for our back to school gathering. Thank you parents for allowing us the opportunity to spend time with your children and being to able share the word of God and the love of God with them. A big shoutout to the ones that make it happen behind the scenes from grilling the food, to the prepping in the kitchen, to the one who had ice cream machines, it all turned out great. We look forward to seeing what the Lord will do during this upcoming year.

As we near the beginning of the new school year we are excited about all the new things that our group will experience. There will be changes in schools, teachers, or even friends but the one thing that will remain the same is God’s word and his commitment to us, his children. So as we are preparing to start the new year of school we encourage all of our youth and all of you to invite someone to come to church with us. We have youth services at 7 on Wednesday evening at the youth building. We will be looking at Proverbs for a couple of weeks as we take these and apply them to our lives. If you get a chance flip over to proverbs and do some studying yourself before you come. We look forward to seeing as many youth as possible that can join us.

So thankful for the opportunity to join in with other believers to prayer for one of our local schools and all the students and faculty members that will be there this upcoming year. We are blessed to have a group that is willing to meet up a hour and half earlier than our usual time for youth services to go and be a part of something bigger than any of us. It might seem like a simple act praying as a group on different parts of the school but we know we serve a God that can use these prayers in a mighty way in the upcoming year. Last but not least we did go get us some ice cream to cool off! It was hot!
