We've spent a season listening — through 743 surveys and five coast-to-coast conversations — and we're ready to share what we found. Today we're releasing A Season of Listening, a new research study on how Episcopal and mainline congregations are living out the practices of evangelism, hospitality, and belonging.

The findings are honest. The gaps are real. And the path forward is clearer than ever.

We’ve been grateful for the strong response to our Invite Welcome Connect Listening Sessions—especially from lay leaders. The conversations so far have been thoughtful, honest, and deeply helpful as we explore what congregations need to strengthen the ministries of Invite (evangelism), Welcome (hospitality), and Connect (belonging).

Now, we need to hear from clergy.

There are still a few openings in our clergy listening session scheduled for Friday @ 1 pm Eastern, 10 am Pacific, and we would value your voice in the conversation.

These are 45-minute Zoom sessions, intentionally small to allow for real dialogue—not presentations. We’ll briefly share what we’re hearing from the survey and early sessions, and then invite your perspective on what’s needed in your context.

Sessions will be recorded strictly for internal use as we shape future resources and initiatives.
