Penuel Christian Fellowship of LeRoy

Penuel Christian Fellowship of LeRoy Penuel means “the face of God”, because there Jacob had seen the appearance of God. (Genesis 32:31) We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture.

We believe in all the fundamental doctrines of orthodox evangelical Christianity. v We believe that God is eternally existent in three separate persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that God the Father is the personal, transcendent, and sovereign Creator of all things. v We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided

for the atonement of our sins by His vicarious death on the Cross, was bodily resurrected by the power of the Holy Spirit, ascended back to the right hand of God the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us. v We believe Jesus has poured out His Holy Spirit on believers, enabling them to fulfill His command to preach the Gospel to the entire world, an obligation shared by all believers today. v We believe that all people are by nature separated from God responsible for their own sin, but salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Sunday, June 14th, 2026. Nehemiah chapter 4. Pastor John preached about how to continue to build your faith. When we continue to build our faith, the enemy will try hard to knock you down and discourage you. Pastor John also talked about standing on your morals. Nehemiah prayed when he got mocked. Pray when someine brings you down; its powerful! Saten will always try to cause doubt in your head. When doubt fills our head we get paralyzed. Don't let it get in your mind. Be transformed by renewing your mind in Christ Jesus. Jesus said, blessed are you when you get persecuted for My sake. Live in peace; vengeance is Mine, says the Lord!

Sunday, June 7th, 2026. Two guest speakers, Sarah and Joshua, talked about their missions trip. Joshua gave a message about being compassionate to others and sharing the gospel to others. He explained that we need to be meditating on God's word. How can we be that light if we aren't meditating on His word? Joshua explained in Psalm 139 that we should allow God to test and search our heart. We either stand firm and follow Jesus or crash away while we continue to build our house on the sand. Abide with God, share His love, and we will bear fruit, because apart from Him, we can do nothing.

This is an amazing testimony.
Be obedient and do what you do.
"God will use it".
Great advice.

Sunday, May 31st, 2026. Pastor Josiah preached about how well we know our foundation. We can't build out of envy, strife, and anger; it will turn into straw and fall down. We should be humble servants of the Lord. Pastor Josiah also preached about being wise. We have to be wise and make sure our decisions are done in meekness of wisdom. Christ wants us all to be saved. We can't lay any foundation down except for Jesus Christ. He defeated death; He will never fail us.

Sunday, May 24th, 2026. Nehemiah chapter 4. Pastor John preached about the spiritual point of view of Nehemiah building the wall. When you continue to build your faith, the enemy will try and discourage you. Whatever God shows you to do, do it and obey Him. Be obedient to the word of God. The devil is going to try to knock you down and make you afraid. Take a stand for the Lord. Pastor John also talked about building the wall around you and standing on His word. Nehemiah was getting mocked, and he had to control his actions. We will go through that type of persecution living for the Lord. Turn your anger of revenge and all your thoughts captive and bring it to the Lord. We are not instructed to take revenge. Be transformed by renewing your mind. Ask yourself, what would Jesus do?

Today I will administer The Lord's supper at Church and as I reflect on Memorial Day I see many of the same qualities that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ possessed as He WILLFULLY went through and endured for our salvation. For our Freedom! John 8:36
Similarly, many of our American heroes that died serving our country, also went willingly.
Below are some of the points I will make regarding the sacrifice of the Lord which involved COURAGE.
You might say to yourself, "but He was God, it was easy for Him".
Not so, Jesus was fully God and yet fully man.
He felt all of our human sorrows, and needed to endure the same way we did.
He was obedient, even to death on the cross.
Philippians 2:8 "And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross".
Today we will pray for the families of the fallen, and to our God for giving us this great Country to live in, while remembering that sacrifices were made in order for us to enjoy it and to continue to support and preserve it for future generations that their sacrifice may not be in vain.
Below is the short sermon I will give during communion.
Virtues + morals
Virtues would be considered high moral standards.
They are usually something everyone agrees with (most popular).
So, being a su***de bomber might be virtuous in the Islamic religion, but not universally.
Actually stopping that su***de bomber at the risk of your own life and the life of others would be considered much more virtuous than the bomber itself.
It would be displaying the virtue of courage.
What is courage? There are many ways to say it, but it’s basically, overcoming fear and moving by faith and then possessing the will and fortitude to continue despite the circumstances or repercussions.
By JG
Now keep in mind, Virtues or high moral standards, come from God who created us IN HIS IMAGE.
Doesn’t mean our looks, rather the characteristics and qualities we posses, although tainted by sin, reflect the perfection of God.
You don’t necessarily need to be a born again Christian to posses these high Virtues, since it is created within us by our Creator.
Being a Christian may be a motivation for being empowered by God for courage at the moment, but it is not required.
Being a Christian IS REQUIRED to enter into Heaven.
A courageous person that may have performed a courageous act, does not automatically get into Heaven.
We don’t get there by our good works.
Ephesians 2:8,9
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast".
I mention Courage and Loyalty as I think of Memorial day as well.
What is loyalty? Being faithful. Pledging allegiance.
For the joy set before Him…Hebrews 12:1-24
Sweat drops of blood… Luke 22:44
And yet STILL went through with it!!! That is COURAGE. That is HIGH MORAL STANDARDS.
That is OBEDIENCE. That is LOVE. See less

Sunday, May 17th, 2026. Pastor John preached about the temple of our hearts and protecting it. We all ask ourselves, is there a protective barrier around us? Enemies will always try to brake down the wall around us. Pastor John also preached about our bodies and how they are not our own. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We are the housing for the Holy Spirit. God directs us, He loves us all the same, and we are all equal. We are bought with the priceless blood of Christ. His blood took away our sins. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. Stand in the word of God.
