Today’s Theme: Victory!

A gold medal or trophy is given to the best athlete or team who ranks #1. It’s the prize that every athlete or teams want to take home. When we aim to become Champions for Christ, we also have a prize waiting for us! It’s better than any GOLD MEDAL or shiny, big trophy we could ever receive! It’s the VICTORY prize of eternal life with God in HEAVEN!

A heartfelt thank you to each of our incredible adult and youth volunteers for sharing your time, talents, energy, and love with the children during Vacation Bible School. Your willingness to serve helped create a fun, faith-filled week where seeds of God's love were planted in so many young hearts.

Whether you led a station, helped behind the scenes, encouraged a child, or simply shared a smile, your service made a lasting difference. We are so grateful for each of you and the unique gifts you brought to our VBS family.

VBS Day 2!

Training Hard
This day the kids learned how to get stronger in their faith and build their spiritual muscles with lessons about the 8 Beautitudes. We learned that if you want to be good at something, you must practice and train hard. Great athletes will work extremely hard to strengthen their physical muscles. Just like athletes, we can also practice and train hard in our faith!

As we all know, faith isn't meant to be experienced only on a mountaintop weekend—it is meant to be lived every day. One of the best ways to keep that fire burning is by staying connected to other believers who encourage one another to grow in Christ.

Phil Campbell has organized a BBQ & Bible Night on Saturday, August 15, at 7:00 p.m. at the Sportsman's Lodge in Le Center. This will be a relaxed evening of great food, fellowship, prayer, conversation, and time spent focusing on Jesus together.

Who is invited?
Students entering 9th grade and older, along with their parents. If childcare is a challenge, younger siblings are welcome to come as well. Please note that the discussions and activities will be geared toward our high school students and adults.

What's provided?

Burgers and hot dogs
Fellowship with other Catholic families
An evening of encouragement, prayer, and conversations centered on Christ

What should you bring?

A dish to share (if attending as a family)
Your Bible
An open heart, ready to encounter the Lord
Your voice to share, pray, and maybe even sing together 😊
Yard games if you'd like to enjoy some outdoor fun

As St. Paul reminds us, "Fan into flame the gift of God" (2 Timothy 1:6). Our hope is that this evening will be another opportunity for our young people—and all of us—to encourage one another, grow in faith, and continue saying "yes" to whatever God is calling us to.

We hope your family will join us as we continue the journey together. May the fire the Holy Spirit has begun in our hearts continue to burn brightly!

Training Kids To Be Champions For Christ!

This Catholic VBS is an Olympic/Sports-themed program where kids will be inspired to set GOALS and AIM for a commitment to excellence in their Catholic faith.

Cathletics VBS will focus on TRAINING kids in the Word of God with teachings on: The Greatest Commandments, 10 Commandments, Beatitudes, Fruits of the Spirit, and Evangelization.

Sunday, August 2nd - Wednesday, August 5th, 2026

5:00 - 8:00 pm

Open to students from preschool - 6th grade
Students must be potty trained
$30 per student - $60 family cap

A simple meal will be served each night at 5:00 pm.

Prayer and activities will begin at 5:30 pm.

Deadline to register: Wednesday, July 22nd

Prayers are on the road with our Steubenville Conference crew! 🙏

This afternoon the Church of St. Mary and St. Henry parishes sent off 24 incredible youth, 10 dedicated volunteers, and Fr. Michael to Rochester for an unforgettable weekend at the Steubenville Youth Conference.

This year’s theme, “Worthy,” is a beautiful reminder that our worth isn’t determined by the world, but by the One who created us and loves us unconditionally. We pray that each student encounters Christ in a powerful way, grows in faith, builds lasting friendships, and returns home with hearts set on His love and purpose.

Please join us in praying for safe travels, open hearts, meaningful conversations, and a weekend filled with the Holy Spirit. May God bless our youth, volunteers, Fr. Michael, and everyone attending this life-changing conference.

Today we celebrated our graduating seniors at Baccalaureate Mass. As they step into a new season of life, we pray they always remember that wherever life leads, God walks beside them.

May the Lord bless each of these graduates with courage for the journey ahead, wisdom in their decisions, faith that stays strong through every chapter, and hearts that always seek what is good and true. May they know they are deeply loved, supported, and never alone.

TONIGHT!

Madalynn was born 12/7/25 with Trisomy 13. She passed away on 4/8/26. During the 112 days of her life her family made many sacrifices to be with her and love on her at the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis while juggling life in Le Center. Let our St. Mary, Le Center parishioners Evan, Sara, & Thomas (kindergarten) know they are not alone. The spaghetti dinner fundraiser will take place at Le Center American Legion from 5-7pm.
