Updates from Lotus Chapel Colony

Thank you all for making the dream possible, this past weekend from September 26-28 we had that opportunity to live together and experience what community life looks like, supporting one another, sharing seva, meditating together, enjoying the sunsets and delicious meals.
It was such a blessings to be with a group of likeminded individuals working towards the same, God Alone.

We were also able to have our commemoritive service honoring our dear Lahiri Mahasaya

This is a final call for anyone interested in joining our YA fall retreat up here in Mendocino County.

📍 Location: Lotus Chapel Colony, Laytonville, CA

Help us bring Yogananda’s vision of World Brotherhood Colonies to life.

Infinite love and gratitude. Here at Lotus Chapel Colony, we are building a future rooted in love and brotherhood as universal ideals for world peace and harmony. Every day, through joyful service and fellowship, we seek to uplift this sacred home for sincere seekers from around the world.

We are now in the process of transforming Lotus Chapel Colony into a full-time, year-round spiritual retreat center — a place for communion with God, plain living, and high thinking.

🌟 To make this vision a reality, we are launching a fundraiser to support:
• Winterizing and developing infrastructure at Lotus Chapel Colony so it can operate as a year round community to welcome more souls
• The global expansion of this movement through outreach and community-building efforts

This fundraiser is hosted by the Dharma Guardians, a dedicated team of young adult SRF Kriyaban devotees who are helping build and nurture these communities worldwide. 50% of all donations will directly support their service, travel, and outreach, accelerating this sacred mission across the globe.

🌿 Loving greetings to you all and deep gratitude for your presence!

This Week’s Projects at Lotus Chapel Colony:

1. Planting a white rose in the outside corner against the dining room to surround the building with color, harmony, and devotion. And still in progress, as we add 2 more roses to fit this sacred space.

As for the rose planting it required digging roots of wisteria plant, moving stones, preparing the soil, and gently placing the rose on the ground.

Our rose planting reflects deep SRF tradition — roses are offered in Kriya ceremonies in represent our Guru´s blessings and also as a sacred offering to special ceremonies and welcoming of others

2. Securing bird netting around the vegetable garden — offering protection to the crops from deers.
