Sermon-in-a-sentence:
In John 14:30-31, Jesus faces the enemy with sinless victory, displays His love in obedience, and calls us to action.

First Point: Ruler of the World is coming
John 14:30 “I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me;”

Two actions for transformation
1. PRACTICE DAILY SANCTIFICATION: Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart, confess known sin quickly, and take one concrete step away from a habit, thought pattern, or desire that gives the enemy room to tempt or accuse
2. STAND IN CHRIST’S VICTORY: When accusation, fear, or temptation comes, answer with gospel truth: “Jesus is sinless, Jesus has conquered, Jesus is Lord, I belong to Jesus”

Second Point: Jesus’ love & obedience
John 14:31 “but so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me…”

Two actions for transformation
1. OBEY AS LOVE: Choose one command of Jesus this week & obey it as worship, not merely duty. Let love for Christ move from feeling to action
2. LET YOUR LIFE TESTIFY: Speak truth, forgive, serve, repent, give glory to God

Third Point: Rise & go
John 14:31 “Get up, let us go from here.”

Three actions for transformation
1. GET UP FROM PASSIVITY: Identify one place where you have delayed obedience & take the next faithful step within twenty-four hours
2. GO WITH JESUS: Live with Jesus, everyday! Do not move in self-confidence. Begin the day by praying, “Lord Jesus, lead me, strengthen me, help me follow You today”
3. JOIN THE MISSION: Get busy doing! Look for one person this week to encourage, serve, invite, pray for, or share the gospel with as an act of obedient love

Will you stand in the victory of Jesus, reject the enemy’s lies, obey the Father with love, & rise to follow Christ with courageous faith?

Pastor John Jemar continues studying the gospel of John chapter 14.

Sermon-in-a-sentence:
In John 14:28-29, Jesus teaches His disciples to rejoice and to believe more deeply when His words are fulfilled, so we can love, rejoice, and believe.

First Point = Love Fuels Joy
John 14:28 “You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.”

Two actions for spiritual transformation
1. REJOICE IN JESUS’ GLORY: Be full of joy! Rejoice! Find joy in Jesus: His cross, resurrection, ascension, reign, promised return
2. SURRENDER FEARFUL ATTACHMENT: Name one change, loss, uncertainty that has made you cling to control, & surrender it to Jesus

Second Point = Prophecy & foreknowledge
John 14:29 “Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe.”

Three actions for spiritual transformation
1. REMEMBER WHAT JESUS HAS SAID: When circumstances feel confusing, return to God’s Word before you interpret life by fear, headlines, emotion, assumption
2. LET FULFILLED TRUTH STRENGTHEN FAITH: Review the Biblical promises. Write down one promise of Jesus & look for ways His faithfulness has already been proven
3. PREPARE YOUR HEART BEFORE THE STORM: Build habits of Scripture reading, prayer intimacy, weekday worship, authentic fellowship, and difficult obedience now

Third Point = Hearing, Loving, Believing
John 14:28-29 “You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe.”

Four actions for spiritual transformation
1. HEAR: Set aside intentional time this week to read John 14:28-29 slowly, asking, “Lord Jesus, what are You teaching me about Your glory, Your plan, & my faith?”
2. LOVE: Choose one practical act of obedience that shows love for Jesus over personal convenience, fear, pride, or delay
3. REJOICE: Replace one complaint … with worship. Choose to rejoice instead of …
4. BELIEVE: Walk in faith … step out in trust … live with spiritual eyes on Jesus

Will you hear Jesus’ words, love Jesus above all, rejoice in His glory, & believe Him?

Tomorrow is the Lord's Supper. Prepare your hearts and souls to remember Jesus' sacrifice.

First Corinthians 11:27-32 Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. 28 But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly. 30 For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep. 31 But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with the world.
