The Bells of St. Anne announce the September First Saturday Low Mass.

Though clouds darkened the sky, not a drop of rain fell.
Inside, the chapel glowed, its pews filled with the faithful.

September is the month we honor Our Lady of Sorrows. While remembering the Seven Sorrows of Our Lady, we also reflect on her joys as we look back to the recessional hymn from the August First Saturday Low Mass.

Please join us this Saturday, Sept. 5, for First Saturday Mass at 5 pm.
Outdoor confessions available prior to Mass.

As we look forward to the next First Saturday Low Mass this Saturday, Sept 5 at 5 pm, we're taking a look back at the First Saturday Low Mass on August 1st.

Fr Jose Haro from St Mary Parish, Kalamazoo offered the Mass while the Canons were away on retreat.

It was a beautiful Mass and evening. It was gratifying to see the full chapel, even though the crowds had just been here the previous weekend for the annual St Anne Triduum.

One never knows who they might meet at the chapel.

This little prayerful guy is somewhere on the chapel grounds. A quiet moment of reflection, hands tucked peacefully into his sleeves.

Have you seen him? Can you find him?

See you this Saturday, Sept. 5 at 5 pm for our next First Saturday Mass!

Hail Mary, full of grace...

"Ave, María, grátia plena, Dóminus tecum.
Benedicta tu in muliéribus,
et benedíctus fructus ventris tui, Iesus.
Sancta María, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus
nunc et in hora mortis nostrae.
Amen."

Wishing you a blessed historical Feast of Our Lady of Częstochowa!

Saint Anne, example of faith and trust, obtain for us the grace to serve God faithfully!

The Triduum Masses were held from July 24th-26th at the chapel in Lawton, Michigan with Fr. David Yallaly, SJC as the celebrant. The St. Anne's Triduum is a longstanding tradition of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius in which three consecutive days are dedicated to the grandmother of Jesus and....

"Holy God, we praise thy name; Lord of all, we bow before thee!
All on earth thy sceptre claim, All in heav’n above adore thee;
Infinite, thy vast domain, Everlasting is thy reign.
Infinite, thy vast domain, Everlasting is thy reign."

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Queenship of Mary and the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We turn our gaze to Mary—the humble Handmaid of the Lord and, at the same time, the Queen who ceaselessly leads us to her Son, Jesus Christ.

Pictured here is the statue of Our Lady of Ludźmierz, Queen of Podhale, in the sanctuary of St Anne Chapel. Our Lady of Ludźmierz is so dear to the hearts of the Highlanders and the entire Polish diaspora.

Our Lady of Ludźmierz is known as the "Gaździna" in Polish. This term refers to a female Góral farmer or Highlander hostess. It is a regional dialect word used primarily in Southern Poland (the Podhale and Żywiec regions) to describe the female head of a traditional mountain household or farm. Calling someone a "Gaździna" implies she is an exceptionally hardworking, capable woman who runs her home and farm with authority and skill. A Góral (plural: Górale) refers to a member of the ethnic group of Highlanders living in the southern mountainous regions of Poland.
St Anne Chapel was built by the Górale in Poland and assembled in Michigan for the Canons Regular of St John Cantius. They brought the statue pictured in the photo as a gift to the Canons and the chapel from their homeland.

On this special day, let us entrust our families, children, youth, parishes, and entire community to Mary. Let us ask her to obtain for us the gift of steadfast faith, unity, and peace, and to help us choose Christ each day.

Mary, Queen of heaven and earth, pray for us!
Maryjo, Królowo nieba i ziemi, módl się za nami!

Our Lady of Ludźmierz, "Gaździna" and Queen of Podhale—enfold us in your maternal care!
