WEEKEND REMINDER: Clocks will “spring forward” one hour at 2 a.m. local time on Sunday, March 10, 2024: Daylight saving time 2024 in Oklahoma will begin at 2:00 AM on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Be sure to set your clocks forward one hour as well as change batteries in weather radios and smoke detectors.

Daylight Savings Time is hours away, and here's what you need to know, no matter what your age nor what you've been up to:

It's time to change the clocks

Daylight Saving Time 2024 begins Sunday, March 10 at 2 a.m. Most mobile phones, smart or otherwise, TVs and computers (desktops, laptops and tablets) will change automatically, but it won't hurt to check on Sunday morning to make sure they did. Other timepieces - such as watches, tall clocks, clocks in bell towers, kitchen appliances with clocks, alarm clocks and your car's clock - will wait for you to change them, so setting them ahead one hour March 9, 2024 before you go to bad will get them on the right time come tomorrow.

Where is Daylight Savings Time observed?

The time change takes place across the U.S. except in Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Arizona (but not the Navajo Indian Reservation, which does observe Daylight Saving Time).

How long does Daylight Saving Time last?

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 extended the period for Daylight Saving Time by four or five weeks annually, depending on the calendar. It changed the beginning of Daylight Saving Time from the first Sunday of April to the second Sunday of March, and the end of DST from the last Sunday in October to the first Sunday in November.

Happy 17th anniversary, longer Daylight Saving Time

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 went into effect in 2007, which was the first year the longer Daylight Saving Time period was observed.

More to do:

Though it was better spaced when Daylight Saving Time was closer to six months long than eight, changing the clocks is still a good time to change the batteries in your smoke / CO detectors. Fire safety officials recommend changing those batteries at least once a year and replacing the detectors every 10 years, even if they're hard-wired. Make it so.

When do we "fall back" and restore clocks to Standard Time?

The first Monday in November this year which happens to be November 1, 2024, and we'll return to Standard Time at 2 a.m. on that day. So if you want to watch all the devices you have automatically change themselves back to Standard Time, set your alarm clock for Nov. 1 at 1:59 a.m. - and while you're up, change all your watches and clocks that won't change themselves ... or just enjoy your extra hour of sleep, let the devices that change themselves do their thing, and turn everything else back one hour before you go to bed.

Note: Remember to be sure to set your clocks forward one hour as well as change batteries in weather radios and smoke detectors.

Genuine forgiveness heals any hurts or wrongs. It strengthens the disheartened soul that has lost its way. It refreshes and renews our hope. It is through forgiveness that we are "born again" and "become like a… More child." In this way we regain the precious attitude of a willing mind that is ready to learn all over again.

To live in gratitude is to forgive unconditionally, gratitude is the key to success... forgiveness will set you free...

Forgiveness is greater than vengeance, compassion more powerful than Anger...

Three ways to make better use of your words: Did you know that in the last 24 hours you will have spoken about 16,000 words? With numbers like that, the chances of you saying something that would've been better left unsaid are high. We all need a little help using our words to give life to others, rather than cutting them down.

To say I am grateful for my many blessings can only be expressed by the word of God because only God has the words to share how I feel, it could best be described by words I must borrow, to feel what I feel I can only say multiply it by infinity, and take it to the depth of forever, and you will still have barely a glimpse of what I am experiencing everyday of my life.

Father in heaven above I pray on bended knee my deepest gratitude for all of the blessings that you have bestowed upon each one of us so abundantly, I pray that I have given you ample gratitude for the blessings that you continue to place in my life with opportunities I once only dreamed of, I come before you in prayer as a child of God for each of your children to prosper in your word as I continue to boast in my weakness because you are my strength. I love you and I thank you for giving me this beautiful day to rejoice in you as I praise you with the heart of a child through faith born from the womb of your ever-growing love and grace from the size of a mustard seed and flourishing daily like the mighty bamboo. Thank you for the numerous gifts that live within me as your vessel that you have blessed me with in abundant portions far exceeding my expectation in immeasurable proportion, both the intangible and the tangible. Thank you for the skills to use these gifts in a way that creates abundance beyond my needs, it is because of this I choose to give beyond my means as an act of gratitude for your multiplication as I ask with earnest supplication for your continued grace, mercy and willingness with gratitude in excited anticipation of your blessings that overflow my storehouses, my heart, and my soul with your blessings of tangible and intangible abundance, thank you for trusting me with your wealth because I share with others, thank you for the gift of health because I share your word in all that I do as I praise you with testimonies of even the simple act of being born that in these times is often a challenge that some sweet souls are robbed of, thank you for the gift of happiness because of your infinite, everlasting, everliving love with the certainty of everlasting life. Thank you father for closing my eyes like an infant that I may see you like the newborn feels its mother. Father God, I love you, I have many things to thank you for and I would like to start with you forming me in my mothers womb with plans that even she couldn't take away from you.

Thank you father God for teaching me ultimate gift of love and gratitude born from the womb of abundance, thank you for the numerous times you plucked me from certain and sudden death, thank you for watching over me in all of my ways and directing all of my paths. Thank you for a loving, patient, protective earthly father who lives in your light with raw, basic animal instincts to protect by recognizing only your laws to make sure that I am always safe, warm, dry, fed, clothed, and armed with your word, Guyadahi (ᎬᏯᏓᎯ).

Father, give me strength, Lord, so when I speak, my words reach and inspire somebody, My God, when they see me, let them see you. When they hear me, Father, let them hear you. Father God I know you abide by me and I abide by you today and everyday. I invite you God to live in me today for infinity so when I step out, I’m representing the God I serve, I’m representing the family who loved me and those who cared for me as blessings in their challenge.

Thank you father for sacrificing your beautiful son Christ Jesus for each of us to offer us a glimpse that we are worthy shedding his blood of absolution and redemption to flood our veins cleansing our sins with unbound forgiveness so we may know authentic gratitude, genuine joy and feel ever-growing love as we experience your warm embrace of everlasting life. Thank you for sharing two of your most revered souls and trusting them in my care my beautiful daughters Ciarre and Cherise, it is because of these two wondrous souls this world is a better place and I continue to be reminded that I am just a girl, a child of God and I know how you love me because of how I love them, everyday I search for new ways to be a pleasure in your sight father God not because I expect anything in return it is because I am lost in the humility of gratitude and this is a beautiful place to be lost because this is where you find your authentic self. Thank you for Jessica and Patches because on that Monday June 8, 2009 father God you gifted me with what I could never earn, repay or deserve because this is the day you brought me to your most revered angel of Heaven and earth, precious, full of life filled with only love, never knowing anything other than gratitude fueled by sweet Jesus Christ and driven by you father God, you introduced me to this glorious angel to pray with me, for me, over me and love me nothing required and I am certain this is the closest to heaven here on earth and as she smiles so brightly I see the heavens open so welcoming, in Jessica's eyes so deep father God I can feel your love through her and when she hugs me father God I know your arms are hugging me through Jessica and so few of us will ever experience a glimpse of you here on this earth and I am honored to have been kissed by the sweet gravel that took me down and brought me in to the breakstop I wasn't going to stop at in Mt. View, the day you brought me to you through Jessica, the day that changed my life forever, the day gratitude took residence in my soul, the day giving took residence in my heart and the day joyous genuine happiness took residence in my life, the day love became who I am. Thank you father God for overlooking my imperfections and there are many, thank you for overlooking my shortcomings, thank you for overlooking my ignorance, and my human sinfulness, it is because of these things that I most sincerely with fervent supplication ask forgiveness for those who have passed without accepting Christ Jesus to be welcomed into your kingdom of mercy and grace with open arms that they may experience your everliving love and everlasting life even if this means I must take their place because this is the most selfless act I can offer for your continued blessings of times long past, the generous portions of present gifts and an undeserving future full of abundant blessings of immeasurable proportion. Father I commit to you to singing your praise even in a whisper I promise it will scream echoes into the vastness through the ages, I will forever confess with my mouth that you are the lamb of God, king of kings, lord and savior, my God always. Father I accept with great humility your abundant blessings of portion immeasurable to any proportion know by man, I will pray for as long as I have breath and I will praise you for as long as I have life. I bring this letter to you in Jesus Christ holiest name on highest, thank you for listening Father God.

Father in heaven I come before you with heightened humble gratitude for your faithful willingness to bless me beyond abundance of immeasurable proportion through your amazing mercy and grace, bathing me in your glorious favour of portions indescribable and filled with contagious joy showering me in your ever-growing peace and everlasting love while renewing all that is me and everything I thought I once knew. Father, I will forever follow you, a great example rather than lead by ignorance. Father, thank you for continuing to bless me in ways beyond my comprehension of such immeasurable proportion far exceeding my needs that I may share with those in need beyond my means with the celebration of a joyous heart. I see this masterpiece we call the world through the eyes of a child in all of it's majesty, the way you intended, beautiful, enchanted, filled with love and life, I am eternally grateful for the gift of blind faith because of it I see so clearly the glory you intended each of us to bear witness to, because of it I see the intangibles and realize that I am just a girl, a child of God who falls short of your glorious grace each and everyday, I also recognize that you give it to me out of your mercy and everlasting love with every beat of my heart.

Father God, in the name of Jesus I thank you for giving me strength today, dear Lord, so when I speak, my words motivate and inspire somebody, Lord, when they see me, let them see you. When they hear me, Lord, let them hear you. Let the ones who know you not seek you, invite the ones who know you search for new ways to be a pleasure in your sight that you may continue to bless them and please father embrace each of us in your grace. The Bible says, every time Christ sees a new creature, old things are passed away.
How many of you are fighting a fight that's already been won? how often does someone challenge your relationship with God and profess to be "more" of a Christian? There is no such thing... either you are or you're not. Your attendance card, tithe card or lack thereof does does not make you or break you, stop arguing with others and remember that you are here to impress two people God and yourself, that's it... Father God I am humbled by your glorious gracious generosity for always Blessing me with what I could never earn, repay, or deserve and for so graciously protecting me from what I am certain I do deserve for I am just a splendid sinner and you are a great God. Father God, I know I am not the same person I used to be, I am reborn through Christ Jesus at 8 years old. God abides by me and I abide by him. I invite you father God to live in me. So when I step out, I’m representing the God I serve, I’m representing the family who loved me and those who cared for me as a blessing and for infinitely continuing to bless me with what I could never earn, repay or deserve through the selfless, priceless sacrifice of your one and only precious, innocent Son Christ Jesus to shed his blood of redemption through our veins, flooding each of us with absolution that we may thrive in gratitude for the generous blessings of days gone by, the immeasurable blessings of this very moment and the infinite, abundant blessings yet to come for father God just when I think it can't get any better you show me such grace, mercy, and gifts that only you have the words for because there are no earthly words.

Thank you father for this moment, the days to come that I may continue to search for new ways to be a pleasure in your sight that when others look at me they see you, that when I speak they hear your word, that you shine your light through each of us to be the beacon to light the way for others that the chains of bo***ge be broken that they may live in the innocence of a child, see through the eyes of a child and become like a child because only then will we see, for your word says “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." I pray forgiveness for those who have passed without accepting Jesus Christ so you may welcome them with open arms to experience your grace even if this means I must take their place because this is he greatest act of appreciation I can offer for your abundant blessings. In sweet Jesus Christ Holiest name on highest, I have infinite trust, the faith of an all believing child, Thank you Father... Amen... I will stand even if this means I stand alone.

How many of you have taken a self inventory... How many of you boast in your Christianity because you sit in church? church does not equal righteous because only a relationship with God is authentic Christianity.

How many of you plot revenge or even judge others just because they sin different than you do? how many of you post about forgiveness while complaining about things others are praying for? how many of you talk gratitude for your blessings as you miss out on opportunities to serve others? how many of you hold onto your last dollar rather than giving it to one in need because you can't afford to give? guess what? you can't afford not to! How many of you look at a homeless beggar not seeing the person inside as you assume they must be an addict of sorts? It is not your job to judge, that's God's job...

An ounce of love is worth more than a pound of knowledge...

Although we cannot comprehend the infinite love of our creator, we can express it to one another, moment-by-moment, action-by-action to remind us of that love that will one day embrace us into eternity...

Who will you remind of that love today? Will it be the one you believe wronged you? Or will it be yourself that you choose to share the gift of your love with?

Forgiveness is greater than vengeance, compassion more powerful than Anger... another lesson I have learned over the years...

I'M NOT TELLING YOU IT'S GOING TO BE EASY, I AM TELLING YOU IT IS GOING TO BE WORTH IT! NEVER LET YOUR DREAMS BE GREATER THAN YOUR MEMORIES!

02/22/2021

The greatest expression of love is in the sacrifice our Lord Jesus Christ gave us... We're Not Saved Because We're Good We are Good Because We Are Saved... almost 40 years ago when I was 8 years old at Cedar Tree Baptist Church shortly after my mother passed away I was sitting in church like any other Sunday before and this day was different, it was the day I heard no one, not the pastor, not the congregation singing, not even the silence of prayer. What I heard was the voice of Christ speaking to my heart so loud that it was impossible to ignore. Every day and night I prayed the same prayer not ever realizing I had not ever really spoken to God until that glorious day when I kneeled before the pew I was sitting in beside my aunt and was deep in conversation with God.

Since that moment I have lived, loved and experienced more life than some will ever even imagine and one thing I am certain of is that through the years of sleepless nights with God as my counselor, the hours on my bicycle with God listening and pushing me through the mountains and the countless opportunities to give back with a feeling of gratitude to those who gifted me by accepting a hand up that on judgement day the lord Jesus will ask one question and only one question:

• Did you believe that I loved you? That I desired you? That I waited for you day after day, that I longed to hear the sound of your voice?

The real believers will respond, I believed in your love and tried to shape my life as a response to it. Many, faithful to ministry, our practice, and church going, will answer, no Sir, frankly, I didn’t believe it. That’s the difference between a real believer and a nominal Christian bound in churches across the land.

No one can measure, like a believer, the depth and intensity of our God’s love. Then again, no one like a believer can measure the effectiveness of our gloom, pessimism, low self-esteem, self-hatred and despair, that block God’s way to us. That’s why it’s so important we lay hold of this basic truth of our faith, because you’re only going to be as big as your own concept of God.

When we see God in our OWN image, He ends up being as fussy, rude, narrow minded, unloving, and unforgiving as we are. God is too small for most believers, He is not the God of the word, he is not the God who has been revealed to them by and in Jesus Christ who comes at this very moment to your side and says I have a word for you I know who you are, I know your whole life story, I know every skeleton in your closet, I know your every sin and your every kindness, I know your every shame, I know your dishonesty and degraded love that has ever darkened your past, right now I know your shallow faith, your feeble prayer life, your inconsistent discipleship, and His word to us is this:

• I dare you to trust that I love you JUST AS YOU ARE, not as you should be, because none of us are as we should be and we never will be because we are human.

The best we can be is a better version of ourselves as we continue to grow in Christ's image. we are all battling darkness. A ragamuffin is not ashamed to be a ragamuffin, he is a beggar at the door of God’s mercy, realizing he is a lover and seeker of God.

Boast in your weakness and God will be your strength. As for me I am just a girl, a child of God who realizes that I fall short of Gods grace everyday and I recognize that God gives it to me out of his amazing grace. I am blessed each day that I awake and choose to share it with all of God's children...

I was inspired to write this when someone dear to me said this to me... "How can I honor the one who loves me so deeply when I display the character that I do for I am only human, how can I display any other character than I do when it is who I am, only God can change me for I cannot change myself as all I can do is choose to surrender to his grace and even surrender seems challenging sometimes and I realize it is through his amazing grace that will continue to carry me through to brighter tomorrows".

I realize everyday I awake I fall short of God's grace, I also recognize God blesses me with his amazing grace each and everyday through his eternal love and everlasting life...

Mark 11:25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

I would rather follower a great example than lead by ignorance…

I choose to have a relationship with God rather than have religion.

It’s no secret that those of us who claim to follow Jesus Christ consistently fall short of the glory of God. Being a disciple of Jesus is a lifelong journey towards conforming ourselves to the image and way of life that Jesus taught. However, so often, followers of Jesus chose to blatantly ignore some of the clearest instruction of our teachers and obscure it with vague theology so that we can get off the hook. Other times, followers of Jesus are taught something explicitly contradictory to the plain words of Jesus and then spend their lives obeying the instruction they received instead of the commands of Jesus.

Often, we end up at the place of disobedience, all of us who claim to be followers of Jesus struggle to obey the commands of our Lord. One of the most transformative periods in my faith was when I took time to re-read the Gospels of the New Testament and get reacquainted with Jesus’ himself, in his own words. As I studied the words of Jesus, I discovered that so much of what he asks of us as his disciples is incredibly clear and yet so much of it was new to me. I had never heard it in church or Sunday school or actually heard someone teach the exact opposite of the words of Christ. It was during that season of my life where I took a self-inventory of how I lived and what I believed and aligned to the person and teachings of Christ that my faith was radically transformed for the better.

Below I have compiled a short list of 4 clear teachings of Jesus that most of us who exist within Evangelicalism have either never heard, refuse to acknowledge, or believe the exact opposite of. It’s my hope that by rereading these teachings of Christ, you will be inspired, like I have been, to return to the Gospels and begin to reshape your faith and life around the way and teachings of our Master, Jesus. Get ready and buckle up, because most of what Jesus says is pretty bold and potent. It’ll shake up your faith!

Jesus, not the Bible, is God’s living and active Word that brings life.
“You don’t have His word living in you, because you don’t believe the One He sent. You study the Scriptures because you think you have eternal life in them, yet they testify about Me. And you are not willing to come to Me so that you may have life.”- John 5:39-40 HCSB

The Christian life is one that is fundamentally rooted in the reality that Jesus Christ is living and active. He interacts with us on a day-to-day basis and desires that we cultivate an intimate relationship with him. The more we commune with the Spirit of Christ, the more life and truth we are exposed to and are able to comprehend. However, for many Evangelicals, we rely more on the Bible than we do on the living and active Spirit of God within us. We fear that following the Spirit could lead to confusion and subjectivity and so we root our faith in the Bible. The problem is that a faith that is rooted in the Scripture alone is not sustainable. It will dry up and wither on the vine. While the Bible is an important and authoritative guide for Christian faith and practice, it isn’t the foundation or center of our faith- Jesus is. And if we truly believe that he is alive, we should also have faith that communing with him will produce spiritual life within us. He is the living Word that we can ask anything to and expect, in faith, to receive and answer. Sometimes he will speak through Scripture. Other times he will speak through our friends and family. Other times he will find unique and special ways to reveal himself to us. But in order to maintain a vibrant and living faith, we must not make the Bible our substitute for communion with the living Word of God. Studying Scripture is valuable, but nowhere near as valuable as cultivating a day to day relationship with the God incarnate.

The only way to enter the Kingdom of Heaven is through DOING the will of God.
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21 ESV

“An expert in the law stood up to test Him, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “What is written in the law?” He asked him. “How do you read it?” He answered: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all of your mind; and your neighbor as yourself. “You’ve answered correctly,” He told him. “Do this and you will live.”- Luke 10: 25-28 HCSB

“We are saved by faith alone, apart from works!” This is a very popular Protestant catch phrase. The doctrine of sola fide (faith alone) was developed by the Reformers in response to the Roman Catholic Churches corrupted teachings that emerged in the 16th Century teaching that one could gain favor with God and shave off years in Hell and Purgatory by giving money to the church or doing acts of penance. The intention of the doctrine of faith alone was very good- to correct the error that our salvation could be earned or that God’s grace could be manipulated. But like most doctrines that are formulated in response to another group’s doctrine, it often goes too far. One of the clearest teachings throughout all four Gospel accounts is that the way to enter the Kingdom of God is through living in obedience to the Law of Christ. Time and time again, Jesus makes very clear statements that condemn those who think that they will be saved because they believe the right things or do the right religious rituals. Jesus responds to people who believe they are religious and deserve heaven by saying that their outward religiosity is detestable to God and the only thing God desires is that they would exercise their faith by obeying the command of God- to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly. (Micah 6:8) Jesus says if anyone claims to be right with God but doesn’t serve the poor, needy, oppressed, marginalized, sick, diseased, and sinful, then they do not have a relationship with God. No matter what they proclaim with their lips. No matter how religious they may appear. Jesus says those who don’t obey will have no part in his Kingdom. He makes very clear that the way to “inherit eternal life” is through loving God and loving our neighbor. Isn’t this astonishing to you, then, how many Christians today have been taught that salvation comes through right believing instead of right practice- a message that is fundamentally contrary to the words of Jesus. (And even more to his little brother James who says, “You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.” James 2:24 ESV)

Condemnation isn’t Jesus’ style.
“I have not come to condemn the world, but to save it.” John 3:17 ESV

“Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.”- John 8:11 ESV

Many modern day Evangelical preachers spend a lot of time talking about the kinds of people that God is opposed to and who he condemns. They spend time talking about how to transition from a position of condemnation before God to a position of Grace through believing the right things about Jesus. They often talk about those who disagree or live contrary to their understanding of what is “righteous” as those who are under condemnation from God. But what’s funny is that as one examines the teachings and life of Jesus, we find him not only befriending, loving, and affirming some of his societies most despised and vile people, but chastising the religious leaders who condemned them for their sin. Whether it is Jesus’ conversation with Rabbi Niccodemus in John 3 where Christ explains that it is his mission to redeem the world and not to condemn it or the instance where a woman is caught in the act of adultery and is taken outside to be stoned by the religious officials (as the law required) and Jesus steps in to stop the condemnation and proclaim freedom and forgiveness to the broken woman, it is clear that Jesus is not in the condemning business. Instead, it seems Christ is in the business of restoring humanity to the most broken and wicked of people. It seems that his passion is to see the weak, sick, and broken become strong, healthy, and whole in his Kingdom. It seems that he spends very little time (almost none) telling sinners why they’re wrong or speaking words of condemnation over them, but rather practically loving and extending grace to the most screwed up of individuals. Maybe we Evangelicals, who are known for our condemnation of entire people groups with whom we disagree, could learn something from Jesus on this point.

You’re supposed to sacrifice yourself and speak words of blessings for those you disagree with the most.
“Love Your Enemies and Bless Those Who Persecute You” Matthew 5:44 ESV

It seems like every week there is a new major controversy-taking place within the Church. Most of the time, the situation revolves around one group of Christians disagreeing with another and then taking to the Internet to write slanderous posts about the other. If it’s not infighting, then it is Christians engaging in culture wars, working to defeat those whom we disagree with politically and socially by painting them as soul-less monsters. But that response is absolutely contrary to the way of Jesus. Jesus calls his followers to love the people they disagree with most and to speak blessings over them when all we really want to do is curse them out. No matter what the situation is or what kind of enemy we have, Christians are called to bless the people who hurt us the most. This includes in theological battles, political disagreements, national wars, and personal conflicts. Christians are called to a radical position of nonviolence and forgiveness, grace, and even blessing of our enemies. There is no way around it. And when Christians chose to ignore these clear teachings, our hypocrisy is glaringly obvious to the watching world. Want some proof?

The point of this post is to encourage those of us who claim to be followers of Jesus to reexamine how we are living our lives and practicing our faith. It is so easy to get so caught up in the flow that we fail to recognize just how far away from shore we have been carried. The words of Jesus are pretty darn clear, but oftentimes in our zealousness for our faith, we often get pulled away from the basics and eventually end up living in a way that we believe is honoring to God, but is actually contradictory to everything he has taught us.

In this post, I have offered just four examples. There and hundreds of teachings contained in the 4 Gospels of the New Testament, teachings that, if we obeyed, would absolutely flip our lives and world upside-down for the glory of God and the good of all people. What the Church as a whole and Evangelicals in particular desperately need in this age is a return to the plain teachings of Jesus. We need to be willing to set aside out theological debates and meanderings for a season and focus on simply reading, conforming, and obeying the will of Christ, both as revealed in scripture and as his Spirit leads us. The world is desperately longing to encounter Jesus through us and for far too long we have been giving them a cheap knock off that we have exported under his name. But it’s clear to everyone that what is passing for Christianity today is almost totally divorced from the teachings of Jesus Christ.

My prayers are that we would all turn our faces towards our risen Savior and seek to selflessly follow his commands. I am convinced that the Jesus’ way is the only way that will heal our broken world. I am convinced that the whole earth is groaning as it waits for men and women to take of their crosses and follow in the way of redemption. I am convinced that when those of us who call ourselves “Christian” re-orient ourselves in Jesus, the power of God will flow through us in an unprecedented and miraculous way that will bring salvation to the ends of the earth. Oh how I long for that day.

“Those who aren’t following Jesus aren’t his followers. It’s that simple. Followers follow, and those who don’t follow aren’t followers. To follow Jesus means to follow Jesus into a society where justice rules, where love shapes everything. To follow Jesus means to take up his dream and work for it.”

I believe sometimes the ones who are hardest to love are the ones who need it most and while the only perfect person is Jesus Christ it is why I would rather follow a great example than lead by ignorance and so I ask to those reading this are you a follower or are you just a fan?
