Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Eastside Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Couch officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services.
Patsy was born Wednesday, December 12, 1951 in Marlow, to James and Gayla Lorene (Iverson) Carroll. She graduated from Marlow High School before attaining her bachelor's degree at Cameron University. Patsy married the love of her life, Gary Ball, on September 4, 1976 at their house in Marlow. They shared forty-nine years together living in the Marlow area and raising their family. Patsy worked as a housing coordinator at Fort Sill for thirty-eight years throughout her career. She was an avid fan of the OU softball and football teams, and she did her best to be at every home game she could. Patsy liked cooking, baking, and canning as well as going shopping. She was very talented, bringing beauty into the world both gardening in her flower bed and designing beautiful quilts along with her quilt club. She was a dedicated member at the Eastside Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Marlow. Her presence will be deeply missed throughout her family and community.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Ball, son, Matthew Ryan Ball, her soon-to-be granddaughter, Olivia Ball, her brother, David Carroll, her aunts, Carolyn Howard and JoAnn Iverson, a close friend who she considered like family, Sadiya Raney, and her furry companion and honorary-first-grandchild, Charlie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Gayla Carroll and numerous family members.
Pallbearers will be: Steve Keser, Don Hammer, Keith Nease, Larry Culberson, and Drew Frost.
