Our Mission Statement:
The Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans of Lawton (CUUPs) exists to provide a safe, ethical, and educational space for pagans, polytheists, atheists, and other marginalized religions that fit our mission of equality, social justice, and truth. Our goal is to be a welcoming place for people who identify with a Pagan or Polytheist faith or practice, and want to explore,
participate, or educate themselves. We gather to celebrate the major holidays eight times a year and see this as a time for fellowship, learning, and connecting ourselves with the turning of the Wheel. We also meet each week at the UUCL, located at 816 W Gore Blvd Lawton, OK 73501, on Sundays at 1:30 PM. Our regular services are usually around an hour and a half long and consist of an open discussion of our community's joys and concerns followed by a short meditation. The bulk of each service is a presentation by one of our knowledgeable hosts on a topic of their choosing, and when we can source them, guest speakers who are experts on their subject of discussion. If you happen to have a topic you'd like to teach us about, please contact us through messenger here on Facebook or by email at [email protected]. We are gradually implementing more ritual into our services, including an altar that is set up before the beginning of each service. If you have any offerings, avatars, effigies, or symbols that you'd like included upon the communal altar, we are eager to include you! If you're seeking a community-focused, discussion-lead group where you can speak your mind, learn from each other, and grow within your own practice, this place is for you!
