But there are people who need the hope of Jesus right here at home. ❤️

Through the Edna McMillan State Missions Offering, Oklahoma Baptists come together to advance the Gospel across our state. These gifts help equip leaders, care for pastors and their families, plant churches, disciple students, serve families affected by disaster, share the Gospel behind prison walls, and so much more.

This is Oklahoma Baptists working together to meet needs and share Jesus from one corner of our state to the other.

Obedience isn’t instinct. It’s trained.

And apparently, Pastor Troy knows a thing or two about training. 👀🐕‍🦺

Long before he was teaching Scripture on Wednesday nights, Troy spent years working with highly trained dogs where knowledge, repetition, patience, trust, and obedience mattered.

Now he’s bringing some of those lessons to Thread.

Before Lessons from the Leash officially begins, we’re heading to BOOTCAMP for three weeks to build the foundation for what’s ahead.

Because Scripture doesn’t tell us to hope we somehow become godly.
It says: 📖 “Train yourself for godliness.” — 1 Timothy 4:7

🚗 CALLING ALL TRUNK PEOPLE.

You know who you are. 😂
The ones who see an open hatch and think, “I could turn that into something…”

Trunk or Treat is one of the BIGGEST nights of the year at FBC, and it only happens because our church family shows up in a big way.

Some of you will build an entire world in the back of an SUV. Some of you will keep it simple. Some of you are already planning and have probably made a spreadsheet. We respect all three. 😂

The theme doesn’t have to be elaborate. You don’t have to spend a fortune.
You just need a trunk, some candy, and a willingness to help us welcome thousands of people from our community to FBC.

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NEFF! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating Pastor Mike Neff, a man who has been part of the FBC Lawton story longer than any other pastor currently on our team! 💙

If there’s a detail that needs catching, Neff caught it.
If there’s a plan that needs making, Neff has one.
If there’s a song that needs singing, hand him the mic. 🎤😂

And if someone needs encouragement, wisdom, or a helping hand, you can count on him for that too.

Neff brings an incredible combination of wisdom, organization, talent, humor, and heart to our staff and church family. He is thoughtful, ridiculously detail-oriented, incredibly well-spoken, and has spent many years faithfully loving and serving the people of FBC Lawton.

And did we mention the man can SING?! 🙌🎶

Pastor Neff, thank you for the years you’ve invested here, the people you’ve loved, the ministry you’ve led, and the countless ways you keep all of us on our toes. 😂
