The new church/mission on this site, Liberty Baptist Church, under pastor Keith Kindley, had its Grand Opening on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Visitors from the Lawton/Fort Sill area numbered 109, with some members from Sponsoring Church Beth Haven Baptist in Oklahoma City also attending the exciting debut.
Personal Note: Being able to count the congregation from the Choir loft, I can personally vouch that the attendance for Bro. Forrest Keener's last Mission Conference in 2002, was about 120 (60 members and 60 visitors). The Mission Conference in 2003 under Bro. Dean Robinson was also 120, followed by 21 years of excellent Gospel preaching and serious Bible Study by gifted men of God. God is not dead! Nor is His Church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against It, until the Day that our Lord descends with a shout to take His Bride Home to Glory! We thank God for the 70 years He carried and blessed Bethel Baptist Church and its Gospel mission at 19th & Columbia in Lawton, Oklahoma; and we pray God will continue to bless His work with Bro. Keith & Ms. Charity and all the new members He will lead to Liberty Baptist Church.
