Message from yesterday: 2 thieves hanging on the cross, one on each side of Jesus. Both had the same situation, both could see their situation was hopeless. One thief looked down his arm and saw the nail in his own hand. He became bitter and angry, hopeless and afraid. This thief lashed out at Jesus and everyone else. He developed a nail mentality. All he could see was the nail. He began to speak "nail" language. Negative! Nail focused people become so consumed with the Nail that they never see the beautiful sacrifices others have made for them, they never see all that they could be grateful for. If he could just have done what the other thief did, the other thief saw down his arm the nail in his own had, but he chose "not to get hung up on the nails". He looked past the source of his pain and there was Jesus. He had to choose to not become nail focused, but instead to be Jesus focused. He experienced gratefulness and his fear of the nail was overcome. When he looked past the problem his problem faded and all he could see was the Answer, the way, truth.
For nail focused people, there is no come back story, no life after the situation, but Jesus told the thief that looked past his own problems "Today you will be with me in Paradise".
When you choose not to get Nail Focused, you will see the answer clearly and the hopeless grip of the problem will seem to fade away. Hope will arise in you and you will see deliverance. You will have an Amazing life after the current circumstance. There will he a moment where you Rise Again.
We must also learn to be like Jesus as He Looked past His own nail. He looked into the heart of people who needed Him. He was not hung up on the Nail that wounded Him nor the one that inflicted that wound, but instead He was focused on helping people even in the middle of His own problems. He also forgave those who inflicted the Nails. The message title: "Dont get hung up on the Nails"
