Connected to God is TIC 's Youth Ministry especially designed for Middle School and High School grades 6th - 12th. We meet weekly on Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm for Connection classes. The classes emphasizes teaching young people about discipleship, growth and serving others. We help teens to connect with others in a fun and interactive way. We attend group outings scheduled during the Spring and Summer breaks; as well as camps, retreats, lock- ins and other events designed to encourage spiritual growth.

Verse of the Day: John 15:16 NLT
“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.”

As we get back into our normal routines, it’s a good reminder that God has a purpose for each of our lives. Growing up, I used to think that when the Bible talked about producing fruit, it meant something tangible that you could actually see or hold. But as I’ve grown in my faith, I’ve learned that it means so much more than that.

Producing fruit is about the way we live, how we treat others, and how we reflect Jesus in our everyday lives. Between school, sports, friendships, and everything else we have going on, it can be easy to forget that God has called us to live with purpose. We don’t have to wait until we’re older or have everything figured out to start making a difference.

We can produce fruit right now by showing kindness, encouraging others, making wise choices, and being an example of Christ wherever we go. Even the smallest things can make an impact when we choose to live for Him!

Good morning everyone! Happy Monday! I hope you all had an amazing and restful fall break!

Verse of the Day: “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” - Psalm 119:105 NLT

Heading back to school on a Monday morning after break can be a tough transition. It is completely normal to feel a bit tired, a little overwhelmed, or anxious about jumping back into the busy routine of tests, homework, and social life.

But Psalm 119:105 reminds us that we don’t have to figure everything out on our own or stress about the whole week ahead. God's Word acts like a flashlight, showing us the very next step to take today. As you walk through the school doors this morning, remember that God is with you, giving you the clarity, wisdom, and confidence you need for every single moment!

Happy Sunday!

Verse of the Day: Romans 8:28 NLT
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

Sometimes life doesn’t go the way we planned. Between school, friendships, family, and the challenges we face every day, it can be hard to understand why certain things happen. We might get frustrated when things don’t work out the way we hoped or wonder why God is allowing us to go through certain situations.

But Romans 8:28 reminds us that even when we don’t understand what’s happening, God is still working in our lives. Not everything that happens is good, but God can use even difficult moments to teach us, strengthen our faith, and help us grow. So even when things don’t go your way, keep trusting God and remember that He can bring good out of situations you never expected!

Good morning everyone! Happy Saturday! We hope you all are having an amazing morning and soaking up every single second of this last weekend of your break!

Verse of the Day: Ephesians 4:32 NLT
“Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”

Yesterday we talked about how forgiveness is a choice to let go of hurt so we can have freedom and peace in our own hearts. Today, we look at the next step that comes after forgiveness: kindness and compassion. When someone treats us unfairly, our instinct is to shut down or treat them the same way back. But God challenges us to do something different. He asks us to be tenderhearted. True kindness isn't just about being nice when things are easy; it is about showing grace even when people disappoint us. When you choose to drop a grudge and replace it with kindness, you are showing the world exactly what God's love looks like. Don't let old arguments or bitterness steal the joy of your weekend. Choose to let it go, protect your peace, and be a source of light to the people around you today.

Happy Friday! Hope you all have an amazing day and enjoy this last weekend before the return of your break!

Verse of the Day:
“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”
Colossians 3:13 NLT

Yesterday we talked about how to handle our anger in the heat of the moment. But what happens after the argument is over? That is where forgiveness comes in. People will disappoint us and sometimes hurt our feelings. Forgiveness does not mean what happened was okay. It means we choose not to keep carrying the hurt and allow God to help us move forward.

It is so easy to hold a grudge when a friend disappoints us, a sibling takes your stuff without asking, or someone treats you totally unfairly. But holding onto that anger only weighs you down. When you choose to forgive, you aren't saying what they did was right. You are just choosing freedom and peace for your own heart. Your willingness to let go shows God's grace in a world that is so quick to hold onto bitterness.

It is easy to react when we are angry or frustrated. God calls us to slow down, listen, and be careful with our response. Taking a moment can keep a small problem from becoming a big one. It is so easy to lose our cool when we argue with our siblings, get annoyed with our friends, or feel like no one is actually listening to or understanding us. But God reminds us that even in those frustrating moments, choosing peace can break through the tension. When you start to doubt if your choices matter, remember that your kindness, your faith, and your attitude are planting seeds of His love in the hearts of those around you.

But God reminds us that even the smallest step of faith can break through the confusion. Some days feel completely overwhelming, and it is easy to wonder how you will get through everything on your plate. Whether you are facing a difficult test, a tough practice or game, a hard conversation with a friend, or just the pressure of fitting in, you do not have to carry it all on your own.

God is not distant from your daily stress; He offers you His personal, active power. You can pause right now, before you walk into class, before the game starts, or in the middle of a hard moment… and simply ask Him for what you need. Trusting Him doesn't mean your problems vanish instantly, but it means you don't face them in your own limited energy.

What is one specific thing weighing on you or requiring extra patience today?
How does knowing your strength comes from Christ change the way you handle stress or failure?

Small Prayer:

When you start to doubt if your choices matter, remember that your kindness, your faith, and your attitude are planting seeds of His love in the hearts of those around you. Always remember our verse of the year - 1 Timothy 4:12.

Our words hold so much power, especially in how we connect with people every day. A quick side comment, a joke in the hallway, or a text message can either lift someone up or completely tear them down. It’s so easy to say things without thinking, especially when we are just messing around, venting, or feeling frustrated. But God reminds us in this verse to pause before we speak and check our intentions. He wants us to use our voices to build others up, spread kindness, and bring life into their day instead of adding negativity to their day.
