Happy Monday! Hope you enjoy your day off!

Read: Proverbs Chapter 7
Topic: Being Obedient

Focus verse: Proverbs 7:1-3
My son, keep my words and lay up my commands with thee. Keep my commandments and live, and my laws as the apple of your eye.
Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the tablet of thine heart. KJV

By being obedient and keeping God’s word close to our heart we learn to stay away from people who tries to deceive us with their words.

Discussion question:
Yesterday we looked at everything that displeases God. How can being obedient to God’s word and His commandments help us say yes to Him and no to the world?

Think of one time that you were disobedient to your parents or teacher and what was the outcome? By keeping God’s word close to our heart, we are able to make better choices and stick to the yes and no that really matters.

How can you be intentional about keeping God’s word and His commandments close to your heart?

Share your thoughts or comments and leave any questions that you might have.

Good morning everyone! Happy Sunday!

Read: Proverbs Chapter 6
Topic: Choose your “Yes” wisely!

Focus verse: Proverbs 6:16 -19
These verses describes everything that God is displeased with. When we are around friends who act this way, we have a choice to make. By staying silent or joining in on bad behaviors, we are giving a silent "yes" to those displeasing actions. We have to choose our "yes" wisely! Saying "yes" to God means saying "no" to the drama, the lies, and in general bad behavior even when it's hard or unpopular at school or around your friends.

Discussion question: Think about your week ahead. How can you be more intentional about choosing your "yes" wisely when it comes to the things your friends say and do?

Good morning!! Welcome to the weekend!!
Read Proverbs Chapter 5
Topic: Do not be deceived

Focus verse: 1 & 2
My son, pay attention to my wisdom, turn your ear to my words of insight 2) that you maintain discretion and your lips may preserve knowledge. NIV

Make sure to read the entire chapter and understand what each verse is saying. There are people who are going to try to get you to do things by deception. Try this, it’s fun! Listen to this, you’ll like it.

Discussion question:
How can Godly wisdom, discernment and insight keep you from being deceived this holiday weekend? Share a time when you were deceived by a friend and how you handled it.

Good morning everyone! Happy Friday 🤗
Read: Proverbs Chapter 4
Topic: Choosing the straight path and guard your heart!

Focus verse: 11 & 23
“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”
Proverbs 4:23 NLT

Make sure to break down each verse to fully understand exactly what each chapter is saying. We have discussed the narrow straight path in the past.
For verse 23, why do you think it’s important to guard your heart? Funny thing it tells you why in the same verse.

Discussion question: Take today and think about what you can be more intentional about in protecting your heart? Remember, what you feed your mind and heart (social media, music, habits) eventually shapes your actions and future direction.

Good Morning Everyone!!

Read: Proverbs Chapter 3
Topic: Trusting in the Lord

Focus verse: 5&6
Solomon says: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do and he will show you which path to take. NLT

Discussion question:
Yesterday we talked about how God gives us discernment and wisdom. Today, let us look at trusting the Lord completely. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. We do trust fall, hoping that our friends will catch us.

Today, let us trust God with our next decision. Let us seek his will when we find ourselves in difficult circumstances and watch him show us which path to take.

Sometimes we want to do things our way. How can discernment and wisdom help us trust God in everything we do today?

Happy Wednesday C2G!!

Read: Proverbs Chapter 2
Topic: The source of discernment and how it protects you.

Focus verses: 6 & 11
V6. “For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.”
V11. “Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe.”

Discussion question:
Yesterday, we talked about building discernment. Today, verse 6 reminds us that God is the one who hands us this wisdom. If discernment is like a bodyguard for your life, how can asking God for it help you spot fake friends or stay out of consequences or bad actions?

Knowing what Chapter 2 says and how God grants us wisdom, doesn’t that bring you comfort? This is like an open book test in school, which are the best right?! Even as an adult using God’s granted wisdom and discernment is one of my powerful tools! Think of this as you go out your day today and walk in the boldness!

Happy Tuesday, first day of September!

We’re starting a new challenge this month. We will be reading the book of PROVERBS. Our prayer is that we will get into the habit of reading our Bible everyday. That we learn something new everyday over the next 30 days, and that our lives will be changed and blessed through it.

Read: Proverbs Chapter 1

Solomon said: these proverbs will give insight to the simple, knowledge and discernment to the young.

Good morning everyone!

We are finishing up the Book of James today! Our prayer is that everyone was able to learn something new that they’re able to apply on a daily basis!

Verse:James 5:16–20
Topic: Better Together
Focus: vs 16

Prompt: Verse 16 says to confess our sins and pray for each other.

Let's finish strong! Take the time today, right now, to pray for yourself, your school, your family, or something else you feel led to pray for.

Let’s be intentional and make this promise to go into prayer! What was your favorite verse from James?

Good morning everyone!

Verse:James 5:13–15
Topic: Praying in Every Season 🙏
Focus : vs 13

Prompt: James says if you are hurting, pray; if you are happy, sing praise. Is it easier for you to pick up your cross and talk to God when things are going great at school, or when everything feels like it's going wrong?

Let’s take some time to think of why it is important to pray in all seasons, weather things are going very good or very bad. Prayer should be something that is constant. You wouldn’t just talk to your best friend on only certain days of the week right? So let’s not make prayer only Wednesday or Sunday! Have a great day!
