We love hearing how God uses our interns during their time serving with BMW!

This summer, Caleb Miller, a college student at Appalachian Bible College, had the opportunity to witness outreach ministry alongside local churches in Japan. During his time there, he met Skip and Keturah Lake, established BMW missionaries with a real burden for reaching the lost and equipping other believers to do the same.

Caleb shared how thankful he is for the Lakes and the encouragement they were to him throughout his time in Japan. He looks forward with great anticipation to the day they meet again!

We’re thankful for the opportunity to send interns into the field, serve alongside experienced missionaries, and see how God uses these experiences in their lives.

God has entrusted each of us with the good news of Jesus Christ…not to hold onto, but to share. Whether that means crossing an ocean, walking across the street, opening your home, giving generously, praying faithfully, or discipling someone right where you are, there is a place for you in God’s mission.

The Great Commission isn’t just a command for missionaries. It’s a calling for every believer.

This Sunday, take a moment to ask:
How is God calling me to be part of His mission?

David Tinsley recently shared this video of a group from Shelby Road Baptist Church serving alongside him and his wife in New York City this past summer, a group that included two youth leaders who first came to New York as teenagers with their own youth group and have now returned, bringing their students to serve.

While in the city, the students were trained to share their faith and then put that training into action, using rope illustrations and creative conversation starters to engage people at subway platforms and bus stops. They also held kids’ meetings in local parks, sharing Christ with children, teens, and adults.

It’s pretty special to see how God has continued to use this connection over the years, and now these two former students are bringing the next generation with them.

After a few schedule changes due to fires and smoke, the Waasayaa North Bible Camp Grand Opening is finally happening this Friday, August 28, in Ontario, Canada. ⁠
⁠
This camp is the result of years of prayer, hard work, and generous support from many individuals and businesses. We’re especially excited to celebrate the work of BMW missionary Rick and Jammie Mikesh and their team, who have helped make this camp a reality.⁠
⁠
The day will include camp tours, a BBQ, fellowship, and a special dedication service as the facilities and property are dedicated to the Lord and His work.⁠

We’re grateful to be able to share this exciting milestone and celebrate all that God has accomplished through Waasayaa North Bible Camp!⁠
