Meet Joe & Kristi Henson! Joe grew up as a missionary kid on the island of Guam, and now—after decades of ministry stateside—he and Kristi are stepping out into the ministry of missions. With a lifetime of experience in evangelism, church planting, and cross-cultural ministry, the Hensons are uniquely prepared for the challenges and opportunities ahead in their work with BMW.

As BMW’s EVP for Growth & Engagement, Joe will work with the mission’s President, executive team, area leaders, missionaries, and sending/supporting churches to see the gospel’s footprint expand internationally. This role connects the burden and resources of believers with opportunities around the globe.

As BMW’s Asia-Pacific Catalyst, Joe’s burden is to see healthy churches planted in every corner of one of the hardest to reach regions on earth. This seems like impossible work—and that’s exactly the point!

Over the past several weeks, our Healthy Church Network team has had the opportunity to host several Healthy Church Workshops in Canada, equipping pastors and ministry leaders with practical tools to strengthen their churches.

Here’s what one pastor in Vancouver, Canada, shared about his experience:

“Hosting the Healthy Church Workshop in Vancouver was a genuine encouragement to our church leaders. The sessions were clear and practical, creating space for honest questions, helpful discussions, and thoughtful input on real ministry challenges. Since then, I’ve had several encouraging conversations with those who attended. Many left with fresh perspectives and useful ideas to take back to their ministries.”

Rebecca Brandt serves with BMW’s U.S. Special Ministries division in Michigan, where she is part of OneTree Ministries, an organization dedicated to helping Christian leaders thrive.

Through counseling, trauma debriefing, personal retreats, and specialized training, OneTree provides care and encouragement to missionaries, pastors, and ministry leaders.

One of their key programs, ReSoul Training, helps leaders deepen their relationship with Jesus in five areas of life: spiritually, physically, emotionally, relationally, and cognitively. The goal is to equip leaders to remain healthy, resilient, and effective in ministry.

And the impact is reaching far beyond Michigan!

In 2025 alone, OneTree trained and cared for Christian leaders in 26 countries and 8 states!

We praise God for the work Rebecca is doing to strengthen those who faithfully serve others.
