"He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation." - Psalm 91:15-16

I think a common misconception is that the christian life is going to be easy once you are saved. Jesus never promised that. However, we do have the assurance that we will always have our salvation once we accept it, we will always be loved no matter how many times we mess up, we will always be redirected no matter how many times we stray, and we will always be comforted no matter what trials we face. Many stories through the bible we see people who suffered many things, but on the other side of that, God was able to do great things through their suffering.

Remember that God is always with you in trials, problems, temptations, and suffering. He will never leave you or forget about you. Sometimes, we have to endure longer than we expect, but always be comforted that He is working through every situation, and He will bless those who push through to the end.

Hope you all have a great day!

"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." - James 4:10

Social media has really opened the door to people who want to be in the spotlight. You used to have to fight for auditions, and now you can do it in the comfort of your own home. If people aren't on social media looking for fame, they are at least working hard to buy what they want and go and do what they want to do.

It's so easy to get caught up in the showing off our accomplishments to going and getting the next best thing, but God wants something different for us. He calls us to have humility. Not the kind where we feel embarrassed, but the kind where we stop thinking about ourselves all the time. He calls us to give up our cares and desires to want to have more and be more in this world. He calls us to seek what He wants instead of thinking about what we want.

If we are seeking our own desires, then we will only receive out of life what we are capable of. We have limits in our potential. But, if we seek what God wants us to do, in everything we do, then we are capable of what He can do through us, which we know with God nothing is impossible.

Today, trust God for what He is calling you to do in your life. Maybe it is to mend a relationship or go and do something for someone. Maybe it's to pray with someone or encourage someone. Maybe it is to start reading your bible or to give up something that distracts you from time with Him. Trust that He is with you, and He will guide you through that situation. Remember that He is bigger than any situation we face.

Hope you all have a great day!

"By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." - John 13:35

Jesus was teaching His disciples, the ones who followed Him reverantly, right before He went to be crucified on the cross. He left them with one last commandment, "to love one another," as He has loved.

Jesus came to love and serve others. He did this through His ministry of teaching through His love and compassion for others and by healing those who needed it. Even those who persecuted Him, He showed grace.

Jesus calls us to do the same. We are to love each other and uplift each other. We are called to love those who don't believe so, through our example, others may come to Jesus. We are to show those who hate us and persecute us love so that they may see that we live like Jesus, who lives in us, and we don't react like the world would. Jesus was saying that the best way to show this world that we belong to Him is to show love in any situation. He didn't pick and choose who He loved, He just loved everyone.

Take some time today to show love to the one who has saved you. Pray and thank Him for all He has done, and spend some time with Him in His Word. Reach out to a friend and show them love by giving them an encouraging word to lift them up. And most importantly, if you find yourself in a situation where it is hard to show love to someone, remember that God loved us so much that He gave us Jesus, even though we didn't deserve it, and then choose to show love to that person. The best way to show people Jesus is to love like Jesus did.

Hope you all have a great day!

"Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works." - Hebrews 10:24

Paul spoke a lot in Hebrews about how we should "hold fast" and push through in our walk of faith. The christian walk was never promised to be easy. We have to push through the hard times and focus on Jesus while we endure and praise Him in the good times with our eyes still on Him.

We must do this in our own christian walk so we are not distracted and drug down by the world, and we must also encourage others to do the same in their walk of faith. If we are walking faithfully and encouraging others to do the same, then there is nothing God cannot overcome in our lives.

Today, take a moment to encourage someone around you to get in the word and pray. Maybe even meet with them and spend some time talking about a passage of scripture or praying with them. You will be encouraged while also encouraging them.

Hope you all have a great day!
