“Because the Cross is the way.” A church founded in 2011, Pastor Nathan Locklear and a small group of believers were led to plant the seed for a church. “Because the Cross is the way” was the message and reasoning behind the name ‘Crossway’, and it has lead to the now Hasty based church in Laurinburg, Nort
h Carolina. From having the first church meeting in a fire department with a small group of believers, to having church in a rented ComTech building, from then moving church into a small house in Pembroke. Going into the unknown, Pastor Nathan and the Crossway body followed the Lord's pursuit and took a step out on faith of going into the territory of Laurinburg. In just two years with a body of 20-30 believers, God used his faithful servants to help purchase a church. On June 9th, 2013, the Crossway body moved into the Hasty community, and the message of Christ and Him risen has been taught ever since. Since the founding of Crossway Baptist Church, Pastor Nathan made it clear on the intentions of the church, and that is “teaching a complete and total trust in Jesus Christ through his finished work at the cross!” Until all have heard the mighty news of Christ.
