Due to multiple travel advisories from local and state municipalities issuing travel adversaries to not be on the roads if not absolutely necessary and with Bishop O'Donnell communication offering pastoral guidance regarding our obligation to attend Sunday Mass and our shared responsibility to safeguard human life, Father Schmitz has made the determination to cancel Mass Saturday, January 24th and Sunday, January 25th.

You can read and review Bishop O'Donnell's full communication on the Diocese of Jefferson City page: https://www.facebook.com/diojeffcity/

Below are some ideas on how to sanctify your Sunday:
Lectio Divina (Divine Reading): Read the readings, Meditate on the readings, Reflect on where the Holy Spirit is leading you on the Word today, Express in writing or voice what you hear God saying to you today. Why does that word or sentence stand out? Ask the Holy Spirit to open your mind for better understanding. Share the Lectio Divina in the following possible ways.

Phone a Friend: Read Sunday's Scripture Reads together. It would be great to call someone in the parish family and join them in prayer.
Gather the Family around the table to reflect on Sunday Scripture.
Hold a Zoom meeting with your Rosary group of family from afar.
Pray the Rosary for first responders.
Pray the Memorare at 9:00 AM as a Parish
Additional Resources: available through St Patrick Catholic Church website. The Adult Faith Formation Ministry has compiled several links to help feed your soul.

Readings for the 3rd Sunday of Ordinary Time can be found by following this USCCB link: https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/012526.cfm

Not all parishioners have a phone number or email registered with St. Patrick. If you are aware of a parish family member who may not use email, or does not have a phone number registered with the parish office, PLEASE contact them, make sure they are aware of the cancellations while checking on their well being.

Let us pray for the safety of all those who maybe out. We look forward to seeing you next Sunday. God bless, stay warm

We will be collecting food and other items this November and December for local food pantries. Starting Saturday, November 8, we will have boxes in the main entryway of the church where donations can be placed. Consider food items with long shelf lives like canned meats, pasta, rice, and peanut butter. Personal items like toothpaste, shampoo, and bodywash are always in high demand. Diapers, paper towels, toilet paper and facial tissue are always in short supply. Lets all be good stewards to our community and help those in need this holiday season.
