KIDZ AT FIRST

07/29/2026

📚✏️ Back to School & Promotion Sunday is This Sunday at First Baptist Laurel!

As a new school year begins, we want to surround our teachers, administrators, students, and their families with prayer. During our worship service, we'll take a special time to pray for God's wisdom, protection, and blessing over the year ahead.

It's also Promotion Sunday, when our children will move up to their new Sunday School classes! We can't wait to celebrate this exciting milestone with them.

🎉 Incoming 6th Graders: We have a special Student Ministry Breakfast Celebration beginning at 9:00 AM in the Family Life Center. We can't wait to welcome you into our student ministry family!

🕘 Student Ministry Breakfast – 9:00 AM
📖 Bible Study – 9:15 AM
⛪ Worship – 10:30 AM

Whether you're returning or looking for a church home, we would love to welcome your family on 5th Street! Join us this Sunday as we pray together, celebrate together, and kick off a brand-new school year with Christ at the center.

🌟 Pray for VBS! 🌟
As we kick off Illumination Station VBS, we are asking our church family to join us in prayer.
🙏 Pray for every child who walks through our doors and that they would clearly see that Jesus is the Light of the World.
🙏 Pray for energy and wisdom for our volunteers as they serve throughout the week.
🙏 Pray for meaningful conversations, new friendships, and most importantly hearts that are open to the Gospel.
🙏 Pray that lives will be changed and that God will do more than we could ever imagine.
We are excited to see what God has in store this week! Thank you for partnering with us through prayer. 💡✨

Well… the cheeseburgers, fries, and onion rings are apparently under spiritual attack again. 🌧

At this point we may need a prayer meeting specifically for the grill and deep fryer. Stay safe and hopefully we’ll finally eat together next week!
