I wonder if Jesus woke early that morning, thinking on all that was to come the following week.

Did He rest well, or toss and turn. He knew what was to come, yet in his humanness He must have had these scattered and worrisome thoughts, couple and wrestling with His faithfulness.
When the sun rose and He made His way….being greeted by throngs of people who bore the palms and garments for him to walk upon…where were His thoughts by then? As He looked humans in the face.

He was fulfilling prophecy, all the while, the unsuspecting stood by. 

As we begin Holy Week, may we pause often, to contemplate all these things. How easily we forget to do so, in this broken, paced world.

But it does matter. It matters more than ever, to stay focused on what truly matters. The sacrifice of Holy Week, and the eternal gift available to us all.

Matthew 21:9 (NIV): "The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, 'Hosanna to the Son of David!' 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!' 'Hosanna in the highest heaven!'"

Holy Spirit,

You know my heart. You understand my deepest wants and needs, and You know my every intention. You know me better than I know myself. There is nowhere I could run to escape Your presence, and nothing I could hide from You!

And that’s why, right now, I am asking You to give me Your divine wisdom and guidance.

I don’t always know what to pray for. My soul is weary and I am tired. I often worry about making the right decision—but I want to live a life that honors You.

Even though I may feel like I can’t move forward or see what’s ahead—You see me. And You know me. So please guide me. Show me the paths that lead to abundant life, and convict me when I am tempted to stray from You.

As You guide me, restore me. I will place my hope in You at all times because You know all things, and by You, my life is held together. You are my strength in times of need, and You have become my salvation.

So hold me close, Lord, and teach me to walk in a manner worthy of the calling You have given me. Direct my steps as You guard my life, because I want to glorify You.

In Jesus’ name,

The answer came when I started praying. In the twinkling of an eye God changed my life. I’m an heir to all Heaven offers and I thank God for the night I knelt to pray. PRAISE GOD

Pause to Pray for the Church: Father God, thank You for inviting us into the fellowship of Your family. Please open our hearts and minds to Your guidance on what it means to be a child of Your household. May Your Church be transformed as we learn to live and love the way Jesus taught...
