The Remnant and Cochran truly showed up and showed off the generosity of the Jones County community. As our Ambassador for Good, Miss Lisa put the call out to the community to help fill our pantry and boy did they!
It is beyond what we expected and we are so grateful!
In the midst of this food drive, our walk in freezer in the shelter went out, and after making calls to find places to put our food so we didn’t lose it all, and to get bids to fix it- (the minimum was going to be $10,000) a local business has generously donated a new walk in freezer- we just pay for the person to install it!! To say we are overwhelmed with gratitude is an understatement. Jones County is truly the most generous and giving community!

The Salvation Army Laurel is so grateful for the ministry and support of Pastor Je Stephens! Captain Karen and Major Gary had to officiate at a funeral last weekend and pastor Je ministered to our congregation!
He will be there again this weekend to share the word of God!
It is so beautiful for us to have the support and friendship of Pastor Je- for us it is truly Kingdom living!
It is not about denominations, but about sharing who Jesus is and what your life can be when you invite Jesus in and let Him transform your life!
We have been blessed to be able to support Pastor Je as he creates the mission and vision for his not-for-profit, Up From Here. Pastor Je is passionate about serving others, especially the unhoused and those living in addiction to move up and out of the crippling grip of addiction.
Pastor Je is a powerful speaker and completely sold out for the Lord.
