As our latest group at Mission Louisiana is wrapping up their time, we are thankful for those who volunteered to go and to serve. Most especially, we are thankful for lives touched through this mission. From construction to painting to backyard Bible school to door to door evangelism to just cultivating relationships, there is a place for you on our missions team! ☀️Service Shoutout☀️

The first thing you notice when driving onto the campus of Connect is our beautiful lawn.

Instead of using funds that could be used in other vital ministries to pay for lawn care, we have a team of volunteers that work together, using their experience and talent, to keep our grounds looking great! Thanks to the team of men that give their time, effort, and equipment to make sure our place is not only looking presentable but our out buildings are easily accessible. If you’d like to be part of this team, see Cecil Hicks this Sunday to get on the rotation. We appreciate all you do to serve!

Thank you to all of the volunteers that pitched in to make everything run smooth this week at VBS. A huge thanks especially to Kyra Knight and Heather Ward for leading the charge and also to Kali Whigham for feeding everyone supper each night. Ministries like this don’t happen without lots of help and we appreciate every single person that helped out!

That’s a wrap on VBS ‘26!! It was a great week of discipleship and sharing the gospel.

☀️Service Shoutout ☀️

At Connect Church, our hope is to build bridges for people to meet Jesus. A few years ago we built an actual bridge to the community next door. Since it’s construction, it has been utilized week after week for children to come to church.

Today’s shoutout is to Ty Ward. When we mentioned that we needed to trim back the growth on the trail/bridge, not only did he do it, he came immediately and got the job done. Thanks, Ty, for seeing the need and jumping in to do it! We should all be so quick to see a need and get it done!

Cleaning out this summer? Don’t forget about our clothing donation bins located on our Hwy 15 property. It is easy: place items in bags and secure; put them in the blue bin and raise the handle to release items into the bin. (See last photo for acceptable items) Proceeds from the bin go to support ministries of our church including our upcoming kids camp.

Our first night of VBS was a success…we already doubled our attendance from last year! It’s not too late to get in on the fun! Monday - Wednesday 5-8 with supper each night! See you tomorrow night!

A huge “THANK YOU” to all of our chaperones that took time off to go spend a week at camp with our students. They were not just there, they were “in it” with the students: playing, eating, worshipping, praying and abiding with these guys every step of the way!
