The Baltimore Washington Annual Conference is meeting this week in Baltimore. It was the perfect opportunity for our outgoing pastor, Rev. Dr. Julie Wilson to “pass the binder” to our incoming pastor., Rev. Erik Alsgaard. The church is in good hands, never fear.

If you're a history buff, you may appreciate this curated list of books about the history of women leaders in United Methodism and our predecessor denominations. We celebrate 70 years of full clergy (ordination) rights for women in the UMC this year. (Though women have been preaching and teaching in our churches for much longer).

The General Commission on Archives and History has curated a list of resources for the Heritage Sunday 2026 theme of "The Spirit Falls Equally."

Unfortunately we have lost one of our long time members, Barbara Hamby, mother of Julia Wade (Hamby) passed away this week. Julia still lives in their MD City home. Prayers for the family. 🙏
