For our final day of our 12 Days of Gifts Ideas, we suggest that after all the activity of holidays, you plan an outing for a weekend day in January or February for you to reconnect with your immediate family. Whether you're a couple, or a family of three, four or more, or siblings, spending a relaxing afternoon together would be something to look forward to after the presents and decorations are put away.

Welcome to Day 10 of Refresh's 12 Days of Gift Ideas!

Sometimes the smallest things make the biggest impact. Honey bees are just a small little bug, but their impact on the world is huge. Einstein is supposed to have said "Humanity would have four years once the bees were gone". Their jobs provide us with not only food and clothing but also coffee, a "nectar" most of us could not live without.

Heifer International allows you to purchase a bee hive for someone in a country where their work is much needed. You can do this in honor of someone you know that cares about empowering and helping others. For that person give jars of local honey and a note about the hive your purchased in their name. Heifer also offers other animals. How about a sheep and give that person a wool scarf or sweater. Helping others...the best gift we can give.

Heifer International is a charity organization working to end hunger and poverty around the world by providing livestock and training to struggling communities.
