Check out our newest SGA Spotlight, Megan Miller! Megan is a sophomore class senator and serves as chair of the FMO committee.
Megan's favorite thing about SGA is "getting to be a part of the "behind the scenes" activities for Springfest, Homecoming, and the yearly Capital Project. It's great knowing that you had a small role in events that mean so much to the other students on campus. Some of the projects I've gotten to vote on will be on campus for much longer than I will, and making a positive impact on SVC while I'm here is super important to me."
Her favorite memory is her first office hour. "I was asked to join SGA during the second semester of freshman year, so I had no idea what was going on at first. I was nervous before showing up to my office hour, but everyone there immediately made me feel welcome. Kaitlyn Sciullo showed me how to sign in, told me a little more about SGA, and offered to answer any questions I had. From then on, I've realized that SGA is full of helpful, friendly people like her. My first office hour may have been at the start of my SGA career, but it's a memory that has stuck with me as I moved forward."
Congratulations, Megan!
