Saint Vincent Seminary was well-represented at this past weekend's priesthood ordinations in the Diocese of Ogdensburg, New York, where two recent alumni, Father Tyler Fitzgerald, S'26, and Father Dennis Ombongi, S'26, were ordained to the priesthood by Most Rev. Terry R. LaValley, Bishop of Ogdensburg.
In addition to Rector Father Edward Mazich, O.S.B., S'98, and Vice Rector Father John Mary Tompkins, O.S.B., S'93, Father Donald Raila, O.S.B., S'83, attended and Associate Academic Dean Dr. Helene Paharik, S'05, served as a reader at the Mass. Deacon Paul Sizemore, S'26, of the Diocese of Charleston, who will be ordained to the priesthood on June 19, chanted the Gospel. Diocesan Seminary alumni seen concelebrating at the Mass included recently-ordained Father José Rosa, O.S.B., S'26, Saint Vincent Archabbey; Father Michael Scanga, S'25, Diocese of Erie; Father Justin Treon, S'23, Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown; Father Michael Elmlinger, S'23, Diocese of Covington, Father Harry Bielewicz, S'86, Diocese of Pittsburgh, and Father Lucius Bultman, S'25, Diocese of Charleston. Classmates attending included Mario Porreca, Diocese of Greensburg; Kevin McCullough, Diocese of Ogdensburg; Joseph Preston, Diocese of Erie and Michael Schulte, Diocese of Covington.
