I can’t tell you how excited I am about this years theme. Now more than ever, we need to let love prevail in our lives, words and our actions. Our world is a mess right now and it needs us to respond with love. With a very timely message from the timeless childhood story- Cinderella- we will be reminded to let love prevail.

Our local hotel is newly remodeled and we have the cutest cottages available.
I will also be posting shirts for pre- conference orders and sharing teasers in the weeks to come.
So grab your people and come join us.

Is your birthday in May. We want to celebrate with you. This Thursday the 20th at the church from 6-8 pm we will be serving cake and ice cream and the coffee shop will be open. If it’s your birthday month you will get a free drink of your choice. Come help us celebrate these ladies!!!

Do you enjoy eating breakfast and having coffee on Sunday mornings? We are looking for volunteers to make breakfast items to sell every Sunday. We would like to start a rotating schedule. If you would like to help and donate one Sunday a month please let Alice know. (816-686-9724). If we don’t get more volunteers we will just be serving coffee every Sunday. Thanks for your help.

Hello again. Alice wasn’t able to be at church this morning so if you guys can call or text her about the food for next week for the coffee shop. That would be great. We are giving each Mom/Lady a free drink and food item from the coffee shop next week from the church for Mother’s Day. So we will probably need to make extra. We had a great meeting last Sunday. Thank you everyone that came! We did a survey and Kara and I have read through them. It sounds like a majority of you want a Bible study during the week in the evening. We are still not sure of what day yet. We would also be open to doing the same Bible study during the day possibly for some of you. Alice has already volunteered to do the first one and Sandy has bought one about women of the Bible. We are open to ideas and leading your own Bible study if the Lord leads you.
Linda Christopherson volunteered to call the ladies that don’t have social media to keep them up to date on meetings and upcoming events.
Faye and Vickie have volunteered to contact people who are not there on Sundays to tell them we missed them. Is anyone else interested in calling or texting people when they are gone?
Alice is taking volunteers to make food for the coffee shop every Sunday morning. Please contact her to get on the list of volunteers. We like to have a savory food and a sweet food. (Biscuits and gravy and cinnamon rolls or sausage muffins and blueberry muffins are just a few example of stuff we have had). Her number is 816-686-9724
We had a list of fundraising ideas to raise money for a fall women’s conference. Stay tuned for details on that.
There is also a place on your tithe envelope to give to WM’s (women’s ministries) for any other money we may need for our own expenses. (Food for meetings, birthday club cake, someone in need, or anything else that comes up).
The birthday club is a once a month evening get together for the ladies. We are going to have cake and the coffee shop will be open to celebrate everyone that is having a birthday that month.
We will be making up a calendar of events for the rest of the year. First is the Mother/Daughter banquet next Saturday the 8th put on by Faye and Alice. Make sure to RSVP so they know how much food to have. There are over 60 ladies signed up the last time I heard. Praise the Lord. I will be hosting my annual ladies brunch and bingo in July since we didn’t get to have it last winter. Possibly poolside so get your bikinis out and ready. It’s going to be a lot of fun! ( I’ll have it in the basement too for all of you shy ladies!). I’m not sure about June yet but be ready for some kind of event. September or October will be the women’s conference. If you have any ideas for activities for us please mention them on here.
We asked for a list of goals on the survey too and it sounds like a lot of us have the same one. Bringing more women together and building the kingdom! AMEN!!

We are so excited to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ tomorrow with you. This is just a reminder about the breakfast we are having. If you can have your food at the church by 7:30 in the morning already prepared that would be very helpful. If you need to bring stuff today I can make sure someone is there to let you in.
