For a time such as this...

OregoR2R is a visionary organization set on disrupting social media platforms by being a place to connect, learn, equip and restore. Numerous studies have shown that while social media does its part to improve our lives, it can also be the cause (or the trigger) for anxiety and depression, causing us to buy into the illusion that we are connecting and communicating with others, while we really are doing the opposite.

To help you understand OregoR2R's vision and purpose, let's talk about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. A visiting pastor described the gifts as a "tool box given to use for the task at hand." A great deal of what moves a person from a point of brokenness to a breakthrough is tuning into the spiritual gifts that God has for them.

"Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want yo to be uninformed." 1 Corinthians 12:1

This verse applies so much to us today and what we are doing at OregoR2R. We desire to help and encourage our users to identify and use their God-given gifts of the Spirit.

Are you feeling lost and unsure about what comes next in your Christian walk? Have you been relying on your best thinking, choices and solutions? In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul had to correct the believers because they chose to rely on their own abilities and wisdom. We are often like the Corinthian church sometimes in that we struggle to identify what is human wisdom and what is God's wisdom and purpose for our life. Or sometimes we think that God is not moving fast enough - so we want to help things along. The consequences of choosing to go our own way (even in ignorance) instead of pursuing God's path are always messy and result in missing out on God's best. So, how can we check and double check that our choices and our path are rooted in God's plan for us?

Consider the verse from 1 Corinthians 12:1 - the word "uninformed" is best translated as ignorant or unaware. God has prepared and bestowed upon you supernatural gifts - do not be ignorant or unaware of what they are and how you can use them. A mentor or life coach can help you understand the unique spiritual gifts that our gracious God has given to you, they can teach you how to use your gifts, be sensitive to the Spirit to overcome challenges and walk alongside you with encouragement.
