Members from Council 8282 and their wives met at Cowabunga Bay in Henderson, today to participate in the annual Polar Plunge for Special Olympics. We had six brother Knights plunging today.

Than you to SK's Joe Esposito, Tom and Sean Daley, John Forrest and Rick Sherman for coming out on Friday morning the 27th of March to cook hotdogs and hamburgers for law enforcement officers at the annual Torch Run up and down Las Vegas Blvd raising money for Special Olympics of Southern Nevada. See it on our Council website and page soon.

Next up is the Polar Plunge at Cowabunga Bay on the morning of April 25th. Brother Knights from Council 8282 will be plunging into Cowabunga Bay with the water at a brisk 65 degrees. The Council raised $1,000 for this event.

Our First Fish Fry Friday for 2026. We had a great turnout and lots of prizes. We bread our fish with our own recipe. Everyone loved it.

Brothers and Families,

Today we presented the 2025 Fish Fry check to Fr. Rinn. It will be his last Fish Fry as pastor of St. Viator Catholic Community. Fr. Rinn has supported Council 8282 for more that 20 years. His support and guidance make for easy running of this annual event. We cannot thank Fr. Rinn enough for this partnership. The check this year was for $2,571.95. See picture here and on our page.

Brothers from K of C Council 8282 gathered together to participate in the placing of US Flags on more than 35,000 gravesites at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Memorial Day weekend

Once again Council 8282 exemplified the spirit of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity by providing free hotdogs and hamburgers to both the Special Olympics aquatic challenge and the track and field events. We served over 150 athletes and coaches at these events. Thanks to everyone that participated for your help.

April 26, 2025, my Brother Knights and I along with the support of our Council raised almost $1000 for Special Olympics during this event by participating again in the annual Polar Plunge at Cowabunga Bay in Henderson, NV. Thanks to all that donated to this worthy cause.

Brother Knights,

It is with the humblest of pride that I share this plaque of recognition from St. Viator Parish and School. It is with your tremendous support for more than 20 years that we receive this acclamation from your brother and sister parishioners and guests.

The many Breakfasts with Santa, Sweetheart Dinners, Fish Fry's (6) at a time, Mothers Day Breakfasts, hotdogs and hamburgers at the school carnival, and the host of other events that we support the parish and school are well recognized by everyone.

Without your participation this would not have happened. Looking to start 2025 with the same enthusiasm that you have shown in the past.
