We had the most wonderful impromptu service project on Wednesday! Donna Foreman donated a LOT of snack food for the homeless. Aubin Sk***ey made a few calls and within a couple hours we had a great team to put the items together in large baggies to hand out to the homeless. We had at least 100 bags of food put together very quickly. The next day Aubin and I were taking them down to hand out in the parking lot of Care Complex in the area where so many of the homeless are. William and Elizabeth Zerkle wanted to go with us and did a great job! Thank you so much to the youth that gave up part of their spring break to help the homeless:
William Zerkle
Elizabeth Zerkle
Manny Vicente
Melody Vicente
Elijah Flowers
Isaac Flowers
Ivory Simper
Bob Cady ( not a youth, but came and helped nonetheless)
My daughter Dawn VanLandingham
and of course Aubin Sk***ey for all she does helping me with service for the homeless, and also the refugees.

We have to move our Ward Party because Camp Stimson is closed due to recent flooding and road damage.

New Plan:
- Saturday August 26th
- Location: Our church building (Jones and Dorrell)
- Time: 4pm start, and there will be food at around 5pm (hamburgers, hotdogs, fries)
- EQ: Please come help setup tables and chairs at 3:30pm, and if you have a simple game (such as Co****le) that you can bring for people to play in the gym, please bring it.

Important:
Since this is a last minute change, please contact each family you minister to and make sure they know about the time and location change!

A water balloon battle (which inevitably morphs into “soak the Bishop”) and then some snacks. Our youngest YW class enjoying their evening activity!
