Shout out to Pastors Andre and Timberley Gray- our amazing Senior Pastors at The River for being TRUE Shepherds, attending always to the needs of their flock with great sacrifice, diligence, love and grace for all.

We love you both and appreciate you and the impact you have on us and so many others.

Jesus said in Matthew 18: 19 - 20 Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven. For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in My name, there I Am in the midst of them.

He didn’t say when 40, 150, 2000 or a full auditorium of people gather, I am in the midst of them. No He said wherever 2 or 3 gather, I Am in the midst of them.

So we can be the Church anywhere…Your house, my house, the kitchen table, the parking lot, a dirt road, a park bench, the corner tavern, a coffee shop, wing stop, olive garden, a hotel lobby, Zoom or SM, you name it and the Church can be there, right where you and the Spirit are…He is present!

For the past two years it's been quite challenging for all of us. In some way form or fashion we all have been affected, directly or indirectly by Covid, the Social Issues of our country, Racial inequality and Politics and instead of It bringing us together, it has pulled us apart. We call it THE GREAT DIVIDE!

As for Believers it has DISTRACTED us from keeping our eyes on Jesus.

We have paid more attention to everyone else then we have to Jesus.

1 Corinthians 7:35 (AMPC) says, I am saying this for your benefit, not to place restrictions on you. I want you to do whatever will help you serve the Lord best, with as few DISTRACTIONS as possible.

So here are 4 practical, tangible and actionable ways l to help you stay one dimensionally focused on Jesus..

1. Commit to reading the Bible...
The more you expose yourself to God’s Word the more He exposes Himself to you.

2. Develop your prayer life...
PRAY to thank Him, PRAY to praise Him, PRAY to honor Him for who and what He is and what He has done and doing in your life, PRAY tell Him how much you love Him and thank Him for loving you and PRAY to God, and ask Him bless others.

3. Don't miss Worship...
Worship is our loving, adoring ALL that is within us, response to the revelation of God for ALL that He is and does.

Whether you sing, dance, shout, raise your hands or not, as long as your heart is in the right place it’s ALL ACCEPTABLE WORSHIP TO GOD!

4. Don't do Jesus alone...
Some people Believe they can be a Christian alone, which is nowhere in the Bible. They Believe that you don’t have to go to Church to be a Christian. Well they are right. Going to Church doesn’t make you a Christian, going to Church keeps you in fellowship with other Christians that will help you WALK like Jesus, LIVE like Jesus and LOVE like Jesus.

Remember ANYTHING that DISTRACTS you from focusing on Jesus is a DISTRACTION!

Thank you Team River for your labor of ❤ love as we served the community.

We were so focused on serving the only photos taken were from the families we served.🙌🏾

With your help we served 26 families competing 440 loads of laundry.

Santa was a big hit as well as the gift bags we sent home with each family.

We love and appreciate our River Church Family!
