Guard the hearts of those you Love. That should be your highest priority.
Proverbs 4:23 says "Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it [flow] the springs of life." NASB
As we enter into relationships, as friends, spouses, parents, siblings, relatives, and even co-workers... we open our hearts to each other... and therefore less protected in varying degrees.
We then make choices which have the potential to protect, help, or hurt those hearts who have been opened to us.
At the same time the enemy, and the broken world around us seeks to cause hurt, harm, damage, and chaos to our hearts, and the hearts of those around us.
When we allow those outside influences past, through, or in between the protection of those hearts closest to us, pain is inevitable, and the likelihood of that person having to separate their heart from yours, and building 'walls' to protect it from you, is likely.

DO protect your heart... it doesn't need to be given to everyone.
Look around and recognize who your heart is open to, and whose is open to you.
Consciously prioritize your relationships, spouse/children, siblings, etc.
Do not let anyone or anything interrupt that priority.

Every idol requires a sacrifice!
What are the idols in your life, and what are you sacrificing for or to them?

The bible refers to idols and sacrifice many times... Instead of eating food which was sacrificed, or wood and sculptures (the media of that day)... have you considered our equivalent modern idols?.. popularity, status, money, escape, s*x, control, religion, gossip, work, a relationship or finding one, social media, pride, church growth, company profit, social inequality?
