South Valley Church of Christ

South Valley Church of Christ Welcome to the page of the South Valley church of Christ in Las Vegas. We encourage you to visit us when you are in town.

We look forward to worshiping together in Spirit and in Truth (Jn 4.24). If you haven't worshiped with us before, you will find a friendly group of Christians who wish to only follow biblical precepts in their worship to God. We speak where the Bible speaks and remain silent where the Bible is silent. We are a loving group and want to share the Lord's way with you. Bible Class for all ages -- 9:30am
Worship -- 10:30am
Singing Practice - 5:00pm
Evening worship -- 5:30pm
Peak of the Week Bible Study - Wednesday - 6:30pm
Ladies Bible Class - Friday - 11am
There is no other creed or doctrine other than the Bible as given to man through the inspiration of God. The Bible teaches that sinners are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9), which includes
•belief in Christ,
•repentance, confession, and baptism (John 3:16; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9-10; Titus 3:5-7). The church of Christ is organized with elders, deacons, preachers, and members as in New Testament times (Philippians 1:1). Jesus is the Son of God (John 20:30-31), the Bible is inspired of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17), and Jesus will return to take His kingdom (church) home to God (1 Corinthians 15:24). We emphasize sincere worship in accordance with God's Word (Matthew 15:8-9; John 4:24), every-member evangelism (Acts 8:4), godly living (Titus 2:11-12), love for one other (John 13:33-34), and helping those in need (James 1:27). Religious unity is possible in a day of division by simply following the New Testament pattern and putting aside human creeds and traditions (John 17:17-21).

Today I painted a new residents nails at work and as we were going over colors, she mentioned she wanted clear. The only thought that came to my mind was "CLEAR?! That's no fun." I asked her why she wanted clear and she said, "My hands are ugly, I don't want to draw attention to them." I then carefully responded with, "Your hands tell the story of your life. They tell the story of love, of care and adventure. These hands have touched and held things that most people can only wish to one day." And with that, she went with the color pink for her nails. Sometimes what we are so insecure with, others find beauty in so lets show our support. 💖
