“Wake up each day with purpose and confidence, knowing that Jesus will walk with you. Follow His example and say in prayer to Heavenly Father, ‘Here am I, send me.’

“Then listen for thoughts and ideas. What will He send you to do? Through His Spirit, He may send you to comfort someone who is lonely, help your family, learn important lessons at school, or teach someone to pray. He can help you stand for truth so you can bring His light to others.”

The next time a Gospel Doctrine teacher doesn’t explain something perfectly…

The next time a bishop forgets to say something…

The next time a Relief Society president misses a detail…

Remember that in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, most of our leaders and teachers are volunteers.

They aren’t professional clergy.

They’re parents, accountants, nurses, mechanics, teachers, students, and retirees who are trying to serve the Lord while balancing their own lives.

That doesn’t mean mistakes don’t happen.

It means that grace should.

One of the beautiful things about the Church is that ordinary people are invited to do extraordinary things through faith and service.

The bishop isn’t perfect.

The primary teacher isn’t perfect.

The elders quorum president isn’t perfect.

Neither are we.

Maybe the question isn’t whether someone served flawlessly.

Maybe the question is whether we’re willing to extend the same patience and understanding that we hope others will extend to us.

The Church is full of imperfect people trying to follow a perfect Savior.

All YSA are invited!

The Campout will be up in cloudcroft at the Church Campground. Permanent tents are available on the grounds. However you bring your own tents if you so choose along with what personal camping gear you want to bring.

Fairly new showers are available on the grounds as well.

There be I’ll be a mini fireside Friday evening.
