Christmas — A Covenant Reminder That God Is Always With Us
Hello everyone,
You can find the latest message and online fellowship information at freedomministries.org.
For four out of the last six years, the number one verse on a popular Bible app has been Isaiah 41:10:
“So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
What this tells us is simple:
the world longs to know that God—a love and power far greater than ourselves—is always with us and will help us.
We also see this same truth in one of the classic Christmas scriptures, Luke 2:11:
“Today in the city of David a Savior has been born to you.
He is Christ the Lord.”
The word city carries the root idea of the many—all, abundance, overflow, more, many.
David, in Hebrew thought, points to the path or entrance into the highest way of life, flowing from God’s presence and love for you.
And Savior—from the Greek root sozo—means far more than a future rescue from hell.
It is present and active.
It means to heal, to restore, to make whole—today.
When we look at the Paleo-Hebrew root imagery, the meaning expands even further:
“A revealed intervention—joined powerfully—
that sees, acts, and delivers into safety.”
So Christmas is a covenant reminder that God—Immanuel—is always with us.
God’s presence is not reserved for the end of your life.
It is overflowing today—loving you, freely making you whole by grace, and generously providing you with abundance and all the resources that are available to God.
You are not alone.
You are always loved, supported, and invited to trust the highest love and power to care for you completely.
We are bathed in the love and presence of God.
When we freely receive from God, and pray for, provide for, and show love and compassion to others, it always returns to us.
When we bless others, we are also blessed.
Thank you for the unconditional love, friendship, and support you have shown Barb, me, and our family.
We are so, so grateful.
Enjoy the message.
