You can find these signs displayed outside our church. They’re from John Wesley’s Three Simple Rules (or Three General Rules).

1. Do no harm. This encourages us to consider the impact our words and actions have on our own life and others. This can also mean working to dismantle the systems of oppression and discrimination that exist and advocating for justice and policies that protect and uplift the vulnerable.

2. Do good. By doing good, we intentionally seek out opportunities to serve and love.

3. Love God (or stay in love with God). This means we focus on having a deep relationship with God through practices like worship, prayer, and reading the Bible.

Let’s put these into action this week!

Have you ever felt lonely, even if you weren’t alone?

You can be surrounded by people without really feeling known, understood, loved, or cared for.

On Sunday, we read from Luke 24:13-35 and how Jesus walked with two followers on Resurrection Day. They didn’t know it was Jesus, at first, and they spent hours walking, talking, and reflecting on the loss of their friend and teacher. Jesus listened, explained, and reminded these two what was written about Him and what He had promised.

Mary, Peter, John and these two disciples discovered this fact: When we feel alone, Jesus is present.

Blindfolded Candy Grab…Sunday’s crowd breaker!
- Divide your group into two teams and blindfold representatives from each team.
- Set out candy in front of them and invite teams to gather around them.
- Call out a candy to find while teams give directions as to where is located.
- The person who grabs it first wins the round. Alternate players and mix up the candy each round.
