Welcome to the Magi Project! Rick and Kim Hall have moved back to their home base in Laredo, TX and are continuing the work they have done through Holy Presents in the Rio Grande Valley with the Magi Project. As you well know, there were 3 Magi who came to worship Jesus and give Him the gifts of gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh. LSS has hosted Regalos de Amor and Crossing Borders with their Christmas shoe box ministry for over 15 years, which to us are representative of 2 of the three kings. Regalos and Crossing Borders both do ministry on the Nuevo Laredo side of the border from Thanksgiving weekend through the first 2 weekends in December. We have noted, however, that some people are wary about going over the border into Mexico. Enter the Magi Project state-side! This part of the Magi Project will concentrate on blessing the children on the US side of the border in Laredo/Webb county area the week between Christmas and New Years, as well as the first weekend in January for Day of the Kings. There is just as much ministry with the same group of people struggling with poverty at Christmas on this side of the border as there is 2 miles from us on the Mexican side. Our goal is to involve as many people in shoe box ministry here at the Frontera as we can, whether you want to do it in Nuevo Laredo, MX or Laredo, TX, there are children who need to hear about the Good News of Christ that can change their lives! If your church or group would be interested in Magi Project 2020, contact us. We would be pleased to provide you with the information you need to be involved - be it praying for us, sending 'stuffers', sending shoe boxes, or bringing a team. Blessings!
