This last Sunday, we looked at Paul's Pastoral heart on display in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 where he uses the picture of sleep to comfort grieving Christians, emphasizing that those who have died in Christ will be raised when Jesus returns. The promise of Christ's return provides immense comfort and hope as we grieve the loss of our loved ones. We are to encourage one another with these words (v 18).

On Sunday, we looked at 1 Thessalonians 4:9–12, where Paul takes us right back to the basics!

Walking in holiness means loving others more, living a quiet life, minding your own business, and working diligently with your hands. Faith is demonstrated not only in what we believe, but in how we live every day.

This week, let's focus on living out these basics in our daily lives and allowing Christ to be seen in us through our actions.

This last Sunday, we looked at 1 Thessalonians 4:1–8 and God’s will for our lives: to live a life of holiness that is pleasing to Him. God has called us to purity, and we can pursue a holy lifestyle as we remember the power of the Holy Spirit, who transforms our hearts and works within us.

This week, may our desire be to please God, by cultivating hearts that treasure holiness and reflect Christ in all we do.
