Some seasons in life are more challenging than others. And sometimes after a series of challenges it takes a while to get back on your feet. Even though people will come and go it always helps me to remember that I'm never really alone and that God is still on the throne.

The Lord put this on my heart this morning. I pray this wisdom and encouragement makes you a strong parent in the Lord's Kingdom!
-Pastor Francine Wells

There's a lot of questions from Christian parents about how do you build a strong foundation for our children? Here's some important truths to implement.

When my child needs help with hurts, problems, challenges, struggles, attitudes, or disappointments.

1. Always point them in the direction if the Lord.
A. Teach them how to call on the name of the Lord
B. Show them how to get into the presence of the Lord at a moments notice.
C. Teach them to follow the Peace of God. Teach them what it feels like..( When you ask God for it and this peace comes during a bad circumstance that doesn't make sense to our mind ).
D. Show them the answers in the Bible so they learn what God says about the subject.

2. Concerned about your relationship with them or their relationship with the Lord?
A. Teach them that God's Peace is the only thing that can settle their soul.
B. Create an atmosphere inside your home that God's peace can dwell in.
C. Live the Bible. Learn the character of Jesus and mirror your life to Him.
D. Love unconditionally.
E. Teach them to love others and how to forgive.
F. Deal with "attitudes " when they surface or as they grow and their attitudes will also grow!
G. You need to learn to trust the Lord and teach your children how to trust in the Lord.

3. Will my kids go to church and serve the Lord once they become adults?
A. The parents have to live as Christians in your home.
B. You can't be a double agent or have one foot in the world and one in the church.
C. Walk the walk and talk the talk.
D. What you do, your children will do!
E. Teach them to spend time with the Lord at home.
F. They need to see you reading your Bible at home.
G. They need to see you praise and worship the Lord at home.
H. They need to see/hear you praying to God for help when you are going through a challenge.
I. God and going to Church has to be a priority in your household.

4. Teach them God's word is the truth and live the truth!

5. Open your Bible and show them the answers to life.

Because I need to be reminded:
Have you ever thought: “I’m fat.” “I’m old.” “I’m not enough.” “I was young once.” To all my female friends from 40 years and up, most of us are going through the next phase of our lives. We’re at that age where we see wrinkles, gray hair, and extra pounds. We see the cute 25-year-olds and reminisce. But we were also 25, just as they will one day be our age. We aren’t the “girls in their summer clothes” anymore. What they bring to the table with their youth and zest, we bring our wisdom and experience. We have raised families, run households, paid the bills, dealt with disease, sadness, and everything else life has assigned us. Some of us have lost those who were nearest and dearest to us. We are survivors. We are warriors in the quiet. We are women, like a classic car or a fine wine. Even if our bodies aren’t what they once were, they carry our souls, our courage, and our strength. We shall all enter this chapter of our lives with humility, grace, and pride over everything we have been through, and we should never feel bad about getting older. It’s a privilege that is denied to so many. 🖤
