Legacy Leadership Forums

Legacy Leadership Forums Legacy Leadership Forums equips Christian Business Leaders to live a Biblical Legacy in all areas of their lives: in family, in business, and in community.

Legacy Leadership Forums is a team of business owners and managers who meet together monthly for mutual encouragement and accountability. As business leaders, it's too often we find a natural influence in our business, only an isolated influence in our home and practically no influence in our community. Yet we find ourselves interacting in all these areas. Just what does it take to pay attention i

n all these areas so we finish well? Just what is our Legacy going to be? Are you a Christian Business Owner feeling like you are all alone? You have problems like downsizing, hiring, firing, debt, cash flow, cutting corners to survive, profits, losses, etc. While our primary spiritual resource is the local church, a Christian running a company very much needs, but may lack, the counsel of fellow executives in a church setting. What a Christian needs is the counsel of peers - a "friendly Board of Directors" - who are key decision makers within their own companies. Together they can pray, search the Scriptures, seek wise counsel and solve problems in a manner appropriate for the Christian so that God is glorified by their business endeavors. The Legacy Leadership Forums is a closely knit 8 to 10 such business people that meet monthly to deal with the problems and the needs of each of it's members in a confidential and supportive environment characterized by accountability and Godly counsel.

Worship isn't confined to a church building; it's a lifestyle that involves regular communication with God through prayer and thanksgiving, acts of kindness and caring, pursuing moral integrity and spiritual growth, and encouraging and serving others. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. Every aspect of our life has the potential to be an act of worship. www.legacyleadershipforums.org

Larry Yurko, EVP at Legacy Sign Group, is a member of Legacy’s Executive Forum. Larry shared that as a Kingdom Leader, he sees how secular work and sacred work are interwoven. God’s concern is not limited to church buildings or explicitly religious roles; Scripture consistently presents work itself as part of humanity’s calling. In that sense, Larry believes the distinction between “sacred” and “secular” is often more cultural than biblical. Larry also shared how Legacy Leadership Forums has provided a necessary foundation—one that he wholeheartedly believes has been transformative in his “secular” walk with Jesus Christ—while he leans into the belief that his work is, in fact, sacred.

Surface interactions are easy but getting to know and love in a deeply spiritual way those in a community or business setting, and sometimes even one's own home, can be challenging. Within the context of being a Kingdom Leader, the depth of everyday relationships is so important www.legacyleadershipforums.org

Legacy Leadership Forums holds as a core value the belief that the work of a Christian leader is Sacred Work. Sacred Work embraces the concept of "Avodah," the word which combines Work, Worship, and Service as our response of love toward God.

God guides and leads us to where He wants us to go. Then He provides more than we can imagine, far more than we could possibly provide on our own. Such a comforting promise that allows God's people to go about the day in perfect peace and confidence! www.legacyleadershipforums.org

Dan Allen is a member of Legacy Leadership Forum's Next Chapter Illinois Forum. Dan is not a fan of the word "retired"; rather, he looks at this stage of life as simply his "next chapter", where he can use his leadership to continue to join God in His Kingdom work. In his journey from full-time work to his next chapter, Dan hopes to focus on spiritual growth, serving others, continuing to better understand his gifts, and then discern the most effective way to use them to love God and love others. In addition to the Illinois Forum, a Next Chapter Forum is now forming in Northwest Indiana. www.legacyleadershipforums.org
