The sun is climbing toward its longest day. Litha is the peak, the moment when the Wheel pauses at the longest day before beginning the long, slow trek back into the darkness.

There's a lesson that returns again and again: the heights of anything contain the seeds of its turning. The longest day of the year is the first day of the waning light. That's the rhythm of life.
