Oak Glen United Reformed Church

Our mission is to glorify God in Bible-centered, heartfelt public worship on the Lord's Day.

Our faith is centered upon Jesus Christ Who is the Only and Entire Way to God our Father. Our Faith is planted by the Holy Spirit into hearts that are spiritually dead because of sin. Our faith is built upon the Bible which does not make mistakes and which has final say in everything. Our faith is summarized in the writings of the Reformation which we call the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Conf

ession, and the Canons of Dordt. Our faith is proved by a lifestyle that must be shaped by what God wants us to be and do. Our leadership is under the direction of Jesus Christ the Owner and Head of The United Reformed Church. Our leadership is composed of the Minister and Elders who supervise the members' life and doctrine. Our leadership is composed of Deacons who lead the members to use their gifts for the common good.

On August 19, 2025, Rev. Steve Oeverman was installed as Minister of the Word & Sacraments at Oak Glen United Reformed Church. It was a joyous occasion, and present at this service were all of the living former pastors of Oak Glen (Rev Paul Ipema, Rev John Vermeer, Rev Ed Marcusse), representing more than 30 years of faithful preaching and pastoring of this church. We rejoice at God's persistent care for Oak Glen as represented in this picture of these faithful men. May the Lord bless Rev. Oeverman in his work among us.

We are excited to welcome our new pastor Reverend Steven Oeverman, his wife Kathryn and their family to Oak Glen URC. We are eager to see what the Lord has in store in this new chapter for our church family.

We invite you to attend the installation service for Reverend Steven Oeverman as Minister of the Word and Sacraments of Oak Glen United Reformed Church. This will take place on Tuesday, August 19 at 7 PM with former Oak Glen pastors Reverend Paul Ipema and Reverend John Vermeer presiding. Refreshments to follow.

Hello everyone! Burger Bash is tonight from 5pm to 7pm. Come out for some delicious grilling, some stunning cars, and an electric atmosphere. Speaking of electric atmospheres, yes we are aware of the forecast. If it starts raining we will move the dinning inside. And the car show will be up to the discretion of the vehicle owners of if they come or stay. We would suggest coming closer to 5pm before the potential of rain to make sure to see the cars!
