New Sermon Series begins this Sunday.
We live closer and more connected to our neighbors than ever before. Yet, studies show we know and interact with our neighbors less than ever before. Somewhere along the way, keeping our distance and living in cul-de-sacs of isolation have become virtues.
But Jesus calls us to live in this world differently by becoming people who notice, move toward, and make room for others. In this series, we will explore what it means to become people of welcome and to cultivate a life that is increasingly open to God and to the people around us.
In this series, we will explore how, shaped by the Gospel, hospitality is more than a polite smile, a handshake, or welcoming someone through our church doors. It is making room for people in our schedules, homes, and around our tables. God calls us and shapes us to become the kind of people who notice others, move toward them, and make space for them to belong.
Because God has made room for us, we desire to live as people of widening welcome in a world of vanishing neighbors.
