Good afternoon, CUMC family and friends--YOU'RE INVITED! Miki Chelton is retiring this Sunday from the Director of Music Ministries position after 19 years of leading our music department. We are so thankful for her ministry and how she has led our church in praising God! Help us celebrate all that Miki has done for us and all of the ways she has shaped our congregation through her service! We will have a time of celebration in fellowship hall immediately following second service. Light refreshments will be served. See you there!

VBC is just a month away! We are still in need of adults volunteers, especially a day-time snack person! This person would be responsible for plating and sending the already-prepared-snacks to each class. There are also other support roles that are needed where you would accompany and help in other areas that folks are already leading.

Join us this Sunday for Confirmation Sunday as we celebrate this year's confirmands, their confession of faith, and their reception into membership at CUMC.

Youth will be leading both services. We will have a reception in fellowship hall during the Sunday School hour. Confirmation will take place at 11 AM.

Join us to support these young people on such an important day!

Are you an adult and wish you could come to the awesome fun that is VBC? Then, I have exciting news for you! New this year! We are excited to share that this year we are going to offer an adult group for our evening Vacation Bible Camp that runs July 13-17th, from 6-8 PM. Any adults who aren't serving at Vacation Bible Camp are welcome to participate in this fun adventure.

You would rotate to the stations and experience science, crafts, games, and Bible story. The stations would be the same, but we will tailor the activities to the group. For instance, we might change up
some of the crafts to a longer project you could work on throughout the week that still fits our snowball mountain theme. Games will still be fun, but they will be less intense!

We are never too old to learn and grow in our own faith, and the goal of this new group is for you to experience God's love and presence alongside the energy and fun of Vacation Bible Camp! Our theme verse for the week is Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." This is an important life verse for us at all ages.

Softball is cancelled tonight

Calling all softball enthusiasts!! Our softball season is starting here at CUMC! Once again we will be playing all of our games on Tuesday evenings at 7 PM (warmups at 6:30 PM). Games will begin on May 5.

If you are interested in joining, come on out to the field! You do not have to be a member of the church to play–feel free to invite a friend! Youth ages 13 and up are welcome to play with a responsible adult at the field.

Please note that the church office will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 23. Please do not come into the church during office hours for normal business--call and leave a message or email the person with whom you need to speak.

We will keep an eye on conditions and send out an email tomorrow with an update for the evening.
