When I set this page up I had hoped for more response, but it appears more people want to share their thoughts in personal cards to Rev. Sue rather than post them openly, and that's OK too. I first came to St. John's to hear my future wife play in the new handbell choir, but quickly found that Pastors John Touchberry and Sue Bertolette and the UCC spoke to me and for me in my Christian views. Two years later, as I've noted before, John & Sue were married by Pastors John & Sue at St. John's, maybe the only time that happened. I am very proud that Sue & I took an active role in the 'campaign' to move Rev. Sue to the Senior Pastor position in 1999! Besides all the inspirational sermons and worship, Sue has been our leader and our friend. We will never forget the times and late hours that Rev. Sue was present with us when family members were in their final hours. I have enjoyed many hours working with Rev. Sue as a volunteer and as 'outsourced staff', and I am so glad she saw me 8 years ago as the person to administrate our social media and website, which became so important these last 2 years. My thanks to Rev. Sue for all she has done for St. John's and for Sue and I!
