2 Corinthians 3:4-6⬇️
Such confidence we have through Christ before God.
Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves but our competence comes from God.
He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit, for the letter kills but the Spirit gives life.

♦️Exhortation
Paul speaks here about the other apostles and those serving the Lord alongside of Him.
He continues to boast only in the Lord, naming God as their sole sufficiency.
It is God who made them “competent as ministers of the new covenant”.
Those who have been called to ministry stand upon the foundation of Christ Jesus, according to the call, authority, and sovereignty of God.
If they minister truly, they do so because God is in them and speaks life through the Holy Spirit.
We testify, praise and worship the Lord because He is worthy of everything.
The law does not save, men do not save, only Jesus saves.
To God be all the glory.🙏🏾

Isaiah 11:1-2⬇️
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse, from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him, the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord.

♦️Exhortation
Once again in the Old Testament we find assurance that Jesus is the Messiah.
The NLT says, “a new Branch bearing fruit from the old root”.
The Holy Spirit will rest upon Jesus and He will usher in a new covenant through His blood.
For us, this is part of history, it has happened and we look back upon the cross with great hope of the promised eternal life in Him.
Jesus Christ is everything, the fulfillment of the old covenant and new.
To God be all the glory!

Re: Psalm 84:1-2⬇️
How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty!
My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord, my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

♦️Exhortation
Lord God, please create in me a heart that longs for You always.
Help us to seek You every day in the details and circumstances of our everyday lives!
May we always remember Your unfailing love and return to You, the only One worthy to be our Almighty God.
To You be all the glory!

2 Corinthians 3:2-3⬇️
You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone.
You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

♦️Exhortation
Today’s verse is Paul living out this prophecy we see in Jeremiah 31:33-34.
All because of Christ, we bear witness to and live in times when the Holy Spirit of God Himself writes on our hearts!
Those who believe become the testimony of God’s love, mercy and faithfulness!
The Holy Spirit is crafting God’s purposes through your life.
To God be all the glory.

Re: Isaiah 40:28⬇️
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary and his understanding no one can fathom.

♦️Exhortation
Today's challenge is to believe that God's understanding is unsearchable.
Every week I see situations where people don’t fully understand who they’re in Christ but yet, we all belong to a God who does understand...perfectly.
Our surrender to His leading makes us instruments of His grace every single day.
We do not have to convince Him of our situation or prove our case.
He knows exactly what is going on and He is always there with us when we truly call on Him.
To God be all the glory!

Jeremiah 3:14-15⬇️
Return, faithless people, declares the Lord, for I am your husband.
I will choose you, one from a town and two from a clan and bring you to Zion.
Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.

♦️Exhortation
Through Jeremiah, God is calling Israel to repentance and pointing toward a future for them when He will give them shepherds after His own heart.
God uses marital terminology to describe His relationship with Israel, Him as the husband and Israel as the bride.
Similar terms are used in the New Testament to describe Christ's relationship with the church.
John the Baptist testifies this way about Christ saying in John 3:28-30 "The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine and it is now complete. He must become greater, I must become less."

The call to repent comes from Jesus and today we experience that same call to repent by grace through faith in Christ.
He is our husband and we are His bride.

I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”

See you this morning beloved.

Re: 1 Peter 2:15-16⬇️
For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.
Live as free people but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil, live as God’s slaves.

♦️Exhortation
Our doing good doesn't qualify us as candidates for salvation but yet, doing good is very rewarding.
We are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.
That being said, grace empowers us to live differently, as a response to His love for us displayed at the cross.
Living in the freedom of that grace produces the good that we ought to do in love.
Doing good only without true relationship with Jesus does not give us the right to presume upon the cross or for salvation.
We must always continue to strengthen our relationship with the Lord as we continue doing good, especially in the house of God.
To God be all the glory.

Colossians 4:2⬇️
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

♦️Exhortation
Devotion to prayer applies to our everyday lives and is vital to our relationship with Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Through prayer we share our hearts with God and He wants to speak to us as well.
It is a two way conversation and a lifeline of our faith.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Rejoice always, pray continually and give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Re: Matthew 4:1-4⬇️
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
The tempter came to him and said, If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.
Jesus answered, It is written, Man shall not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

♦️Exhortation
Consider the magnitude that Jesus went 40 days alone but yet, he was tempted during that time by Satan.
Jesus could have changed the stones to bread, it was within His power to do it but instead, He let us know how important is the word of God during fasting and prayer.
That was why he referenced to satan, “man can also live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.”
To God be all the glory!
